finally got ray from the post office (damn customs charge) neway heres a few pics with the vartel head on a truetype with padding. no major futzing yet, just tried to get some pics taken before dark but the weathers pretty bad so pics arent the best

pictures dont really do this figure or sculpt justice. im really impressed with this, more so than any of the sideshow indiana jones figures ive bought with the exception of toht. well done mattel

OK, i just got to say this 2 things..
1-The padding is PERFECT!@!! that's how he looked like in GB1!! Not to skinny (like the figure originally looks) and not to chunky.

2-The head looks amazing, specially with the googles on!!!!!!!!!!!!! without them looks like Ray's got a date with Dana and used too much gel on his hair!

Other than that, the poses you got him to do are just perfect! I loved your pics and the painting is cool, def, an improvement.

cheers, yeh i have to admit he does look better with the googles, and im sure more talented painters will get the likeness even better. i do want to do something about the elbow pads tho.

and about that date with dana, peter wont be around for another few months so why not!

A cool dana figure with interchangable head would be cool, normal and possed, like wath they did with TOTH from riders (melted and normal head)

cool work chalky,yeah the padding looks good, not too big or too small. in terms of the head now isee 1 painted up, it has a got a good likeness to dan, but to me, the hair doesnt look too right, its either that or his forehead,not sure. but the likenesss of dan is cool.

im not sure, id imagine its more likely in the 6" range. id love to see that tho, as long as the sculpt is good enough to match what i already have. id like to see louis too. but as long as i get the 4 gbs i'll be happy enough

One guy auctioned a few months ago a Dana and a Louis in 12 inch. They looked cool enough. He did Louis with the head of Moranis from the fllinstones figures, and Dana from Aliens.
I wished i had the pics....Anyone saw them?

so as both 12" and 6" ray are still availble on mattys site, anyone think that the other figures will sell the same way, meaning there aint no rush to the site to buy them at the risk of selling out??

i had that too! collected and paid it today, also sent an email to mattycollector asking why i was charged customs when i've already paid shipping and handling, and other Uk customers havent had to pay customs charge.

holtrax, i love the sound effects on the figure and the mods to the equipment! even more impressed by the ecto 1. WOW!

On a side note they should use that looped busters tune you used
on the Camp Gitmo detanies.

what im trying to do now is make egons hands black. i removed his hands and spray painted them black. they are drying right now, so ill have to wait about an hour and hopefully they will be dry. then im gonna try to attach them back to the figure. the hands are seprate from the pegs so i had to kind of "break" them off, but there is a ring holding the hands sturdy. there is a peg that goes through a hole and holds the haqnds onto the little "u" peg, so you have to kind of break them off. im pretty sure i can put them back on fine, but i dont think ill be able to keep the ball jointed wrist though, but i should be able to still turn the wrist around. but thats the price you gotta pay for accuracy i guess. i still dont get why the ^^^^ mattel didnt just give them gloved hands? you almost never see the GB's with bare hands. then we have to do all the work and risk ruining the figure.

i just got my egon today, but i knew that i my work cut out for me. annoying, but i had to cuz i HATE no gloved hands. ok, heres my modified egon with "gloved" hands.










ok, so hes got a spare pair on his belt lol. sadly i got some slop on his right sleeve from trying to spray paint with the hands on, but they ust had to be removed, not risking getting paint on the rest of it. will try to get some of it off. but i didnt even need super glue, the hands somehow when right back on and seem pretty tight, perhaps from the paint? not sure b but it looks 1000 times better to me.
