LOL, Would you like me to go back and quote the number of people who said that there were few good statues showing up and that there seemed to be more damages than good statues?

People are spending a lot of money for these statues. When they see that others are having issues, they're concerned about what they might receive. Especially when it's a sought after piece and there are no replacements to be had.

This is fine and dandy. They can be concerned. I understand. I am concerned with every piece because they are highly fragile and hand made.

Look, I'm simply stating that we as a forum tend blow things way out proportion. People tend to deem things a fail, when what we see is a small percentage of what is actually out there. I understand concerns, and that's fine, but we get more than just concerns here. Hell we have people chiming in on this statue that didn't even order one and they don't even have the data or personal experience to do so.

What I find even more confounding, with the data I just showed from this forum and the "no replacements" policy email that a few members have gotten, why is that I had so few reported returns? 29 statues, 7 reported replacements, only 3 reported resolved issues and only 2 reported returns? 2?

Kind of odd.

Hey Josh I understand what your saying but nobody tests a 100% of a population. The sample size doesn't matter as long as the items are selected without bias and represents the population. For instance if one haphazardly selects 15 items out of 100 and find that 3 out of 15 are defective, there is a 20% sample deviation rate.. That is then extrapolated to the entire population, so we we would expect to find 20 (20% sample error rate * population size) defective items if we continued to test the entire population (100).

Ahhh yes, but your also taking a larger sample size and adding a deviation rate. The larger the sample set the more reliable the data range. If we took a 15% sample set, which we aren't even close to, we would have more reliable numbers.

Saying the sample size doesn't matter especially when we take into effect the human error element is incorrect.

True u get more reliable data the more you test. Just wanted to point out how results of sample testing are applied to the entire population

Interrupting the math portion of the forums with some WIP pictures... (I guess you can count me in the pretty good but not bad enough for replacement people)

My EX is. I am in no way stirring the pot, but by the grace of Odin, mine is flawless.

Awesome, congrats. I seemingly unintentionally made a controversial post. Very happy for all those who have a perfect one. I can certainly live with mine. Sorry for the joke earlier.

Come on now, this is ridiculous. By receiving two damaged statues and saying that I'm going to keep going until I get one that isn't, I'm a detractor? I've consistently praised this statue. No one assumed that the entire run was damaged either. Quite a few people have posted about receiving statues that have no issues and others have congratulated them on receiving an excellent piece.

You're putting words in the mouths of others and fighting a war that doesn't exist.

Well said. I love this statue. But if 37% have flaws severe enough to warrant replacement and there are more flaws reported that people are choosing to live with, it does indicate that QC wasn't up to par on this run. I don't think anyone is saying the statue sucks or SS sucks. I know that isn't my intent.

Exactly. :goodpost:
