Don't kid yourself, I know a lot of people who would pick up a Jar Jar figure. You guys are not alone. I always thought that George Lucas would have Jar Jar perform some Heroic act in ROTS and make us say Wow!

I guess there's always the TV show!

What if the Jar jar figure had, oh......let's say Boba Fett or Darth Vader as it's exclusive? That might be the route Sideshow is going take with Mr. Binks!

I would be a bit torn on Jar-Jar. At the moment, there is only Qui-Gon as a companion figure for him -- and I would not like my Maul display to be "disturbed" by Jar-Jar.

If we had little Ani or the young Queen, I would consider it.

Ummm, I am tempted to say that I would probably end up getting Mr. Binks too, but more so because I have gotten every figure in the line already.

Sadly, I don't see Sideshow giving us a Jar-Jar, no matter how long we wait.

It would be fun to have a little Phantom Menace display with Poncho Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Podracer Anakin, Padme/Queen Amidala, Jar-Jar, "naked" C-3PO, Sebulba, Watto, Captain Panaka, etc.

But even if they have the license forever I guess their prejudice against the Gungans will prevent this from happening.

I would never buy Jar Jar, but I do think Sideshow will make him. I was trying to find the thread earlier, but even in one of our unofficial polls most people here would buy one. I guess if its lost we could always start a new one?

When a buddy pointed out that Jar Jar is primarily responsible for the empire rising to power by making his move in the Senate, it made up for all of the Stepin Fetchit crap Lucas had him doing in the Phantom Menace.

He looks cool, it's just that Lucas didn't write much for him in the script. Kinda like Natalie Portman.

So yeah, I'd buy a Jar Jar

I find it really funny how many people want a million other characters with up to and below 6 seconds of screen time before they want Jar-Jar. Hell I'm one of them! (Weequay! Weequay!)

I for one hope that when they do the special edition DVDs some of his useless "comedic relief" is cut out of episode and they add more of the podrace in or even Anakin's rumble with little Greedo.
