Perhaps I'll post some photos of a group of us walking out of the upcoming draft party when the Vikings screw up their #3 pick. :lol

No one does it like Jets fans who get to be in attendance every year. Still one of my favorite YouTube videos.:lol

One of the great shockers in the playoffs maybe (though there have been plenty of upsets in the playoffs over the years), but nothing embarrassing when both teams show up. ____ expectations and "shouldas" when playoffs come around. All that matters is what teams do when the game starts.

"And that's why they play the game!" as Berman says.

My "embarrassing" comment was strictly based on pre-game expectations and the final score.

Sure, both teams showed up.

But the Steelers had no business losing to that team under those circumstances.

Hey, but Denver is moving on to New England. :horror

LMAO!......:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

That's one of the best clips I've ever seen. :yess:

You gotta love....

1. "Oh noooo!"

2. Boooooo!

3. Hands to the face.

4. Mel Kiper Jr. - "It's obvious to me right now the Jets don't understand what the draft is all about." :lol

I think it was a group of us at the 2007 Vikings draft yelling, "Suggs-Suggs-Suggs" and they picked the biggest bust in team history...Troy Williamson with the #7 pick.

Let's just say that a certain group walked out, spilling beers and flipping the middle fingers. :lol

Tebow Time!

Tebow has apparently come out and admitted he is no longer a virgin. Well ever since he got done ____ing the Steelers yesterday that is. :rotfl

I just saw this:

https://www.nfl.com/news/story/0900...s-prolific-offense?module=HP11_content_stream

and thought it was pretty funny. In summary, all the 49ers have to do is disrupt Brees's rhythm, stop the running game, stop Sproles, Stop Jimmy Graham, and shut down the long passing attack. Everything else the Saints wanna do on offense is fine! :lol

I wonder if I can get a job at ESPN:

"All the Saints have to do offensively is overcome the 49ers run defense, pass defense, their defense overall, and various specific players on their defense, then they'll be good!"

Is that all they need to do?
What a boring sport. :lol:lol:lol

Yeah, once you get a team figured out like that, it's all over but the crying. I just hope the 49ers don't get wind of this guy's article! If so, the Saints are ____ed!!! :panic:

Blueprint!

I think it's the football media's new favorite buzz term. It started with the '07 Patriots and gets applied to the hot team of the moment on how to beat them.

So, what do you think, Wofford? Fire Mike Smith? My buddy is a big Falcons fan and feels Smith has taken them as far as he can. I feel that he's not really that dynamic of a head coach too.

Smith seems like Schottenheimer was in San Diego--excellent regular season coach, but unable to get his team to perform in the playoffs. Atlanta is a better team than what we saw yesterday, as they were last year against the Pack IMO. And so I chalk that up to a coach unable to get his team motivated, and unable to make sure that the right plays are called on the field to put his team in a chance to win.

I don't think Smith is THE problem as much as a part of it. We haven't had a defense in more than 4 years. Matt Ryan, despite the hype, is just a very average quarterback and we've laid the foundation to wallow in one and done land for years to come by giving up so much for Julio Jones. Julio is great but we have a quarterback that can't throw the ball 20 yards why so much for a deep threat?

If Dimitroff can put together a defense our offense is servicable enough to play smart and win games. Smith stays, Mularky needs to leave, Van Gorder is gone, revamp the D starting at the top and bring in a west cost offensive scheme that fits a short ball passer and Atlanta will be fine. It'll take time to build a D with how little we have to work with in the draft for two years so whoever comes in will need to be crafty.

There was an interesting passage in the book War Room that came out a few months ago. Basically Dimitroff is beating himself up over whether he should pull the trigger on the Jones deal and calls his mentor Belichick for advice on what he would do. Bill told me he'd never do the deal and suggested those picks could be turned into potential playmakers on defense.

I don't think that explains how they've played so well in the regular season the past two years (even against good teams) while looking anemic in the playoffs. They don't seem interested in switching that gear.
