The Flyers made a deal with the Sharks so that they could talk to Nabakov. Interesting move which could work for them. It looks like it's curtains for Leighton.

Actually, I say this as a Sidney Crosby fan, but the middle one in that picture does kind of look like him. lol :slap :lol

Knowing the Philadelphia Flyers, they'll sign Evgeni Nabakov, and by the time the 2011/12 NHL season starts he'll be on a new NHL team or the KHL.

The revolving door goes around and around.

No way. They want this guy...

For the Philadelphia Flyer's sake, a team that would like to take a serious claim at being a constant contender towards the Stanley Cup, they had better not. I trust Evgeni Nabakov more, but not by a whole lot. Tim Thomas could be Jim Carrey Ver 2.0. Well... Perhaps that's a tad bit harsh. I won't insult him.... or am I too late on that one? I'm guessing yes? Gad Nabbit! Oh well. I am certain ol' Timmeh is grieving and blowing boogers into his big wad of cash.... must suck being a multi-millionaire backup. The problem is Timmy evolved into a pretty solid goalie, especially during his Vezina winning 08/09 NHL campaign. Why is that a problem? Timing. It could prove to become quite detrimental for anyone to take him on because he evolved so late in the game. There are late bloomers and then there are those kind of "late bloomers." See Scott Young's 40 goals in his late 30's or Todd White's 73 point explosion at 34... how did the following season turn out? Oh yeah, not so hot.

No, Thomas' stage coach is about to turn into a pumpkin... or has it passed midnight yet? .... or maybe he's a Dwayne Roloson? Maybe he's not. Either way I am not exactly blown away by any goalie when it comes to games that count. I am glad I am not the Flyers or one of their fans. Sorry to remind you Ringer and Badmoon, but never get attached to your goalies.

If you do get a Flyers goalie jersey I would suggest getting one where you can get interchangeable Velcro letters and numbers.

Have a nice day gents!

I don't get it either. After all, Leighton only needed 517 more wins to reach Patrick Roy's record. Leighton's 34 total career NHL wins only date back to 2002 so there's still time. I mean, Howe played until he was 80, didn't he?

P.S. If the Habs have to face yet another Philly goalie who will only play 4 good games in his entire NHL career, which just so happen to be in the playoffs against the Habs, I'll scream!

How can the Flyers afford Nabakov?? I think there right up against the cap, they would have to trade Carter Briere or Gagne to fit him in

Or, bite the bullet, and put Emery in the minors. Isn't he still injured anyway?
A torn hip is serious career threatening business.

I doubt those other guys will be moved.

I'll be picking this up when it is released.

It's a bit after the fact now, but did anyone else watch the Oil Change documentary? It was an interesting look at how the Oilers went about trying to figure out there #1 pick.

I liked seeing the interviews they had with Hall and Seguin. I was surprised about Hall looking so nervous while Seguin was very cool in the interviews. I figured the big time player that he is, he'd be much calmer.

Tom Pyatt and Benoit Pouliot were signed to one year deals in Montreal. Good for Pyatt. I think this might be Pouliot's last shot at doing something otherwise this guy will fade into obscurity. What is it about players like him who appear to have the talent then suddenly disappear for months on end.

Yipes... I can see how offdering Turco 2 mill a year for three years may have been a bit insulting for the veteran. Huet gets 5 mill and I'd take Turco over him.

Like Pyatt, Pouliot is garbage especially at over 1 mill

Why do the Habs hang on to these losers?

Right now they essentially have the same team going into next season, how is that an improvement when they have traded away there playoff star?

He's no Carey Price.:lol

And is the damn 100 Year anniversary over yet? The world never wants to see these again.

What a mediocre crop of free agents. I wonder who is going to pay Kovalchuk twice the money he's actually worth. It's like European free agent hell. Can we get a more underachieving group of free agents? I sure hope the GMs let these players know exactly what the fans think of 'em.

Ya pretty boring,I hope Kovalchuk gets less than the 100 mill Atl offered him

Audios Sergei, I wonder how far behind his brother is..
