honestly, i find it sickening to listen to those 2. i watch lots of hockey games from a variety of different teams and these 2 guys are some of the worst. my favorite thing they did this year was when they were complaining about a stoppage in play. they were so taken aback by this so called unusual stoppage of play that they didn't realize the ____in' PERIOD WAS OVER!!! that's right. the period ended. they were so busy praising sid the kid that they didn't even know the period was over. what a joke.

I don't mind Errey so much, but Steigy shouldn't speak. I still can't believe they took Lange off TV. He could call an exciting game without being a homer. I think Errey does 10 lines of coke before every game. The dude can get sooo excited over something so minor its funny.

as soon as the NHL realizes that nobody likes hockey down south where the hicks and yokels are obsessed with football and don't even know what snow looks like. then maybe you'll get your jets back.

They aren't my Jets and I don't want them back, but based on what's been happening here and in the NHL, it seems like it's inevitable that Winnipeg will be getting an NHL club again. I am all for the Moose and the AHL staying.

is that team the former Minnesota Moose? i used to watch them after they took my North Stars away. then they took the moose away too.

Having an NHL team in your backyard isn't all it's cracked up to be. they'll just move some sucky team that no one wants to watch right now in hopes that they can build a better fan base in the new location. and all the games will sell out for awhile cuz it's new and everybody is greatful for having a team and they wanna support it. then after about 5-10 years fans will start expecting some kind of results from the team and want some star players but they won't get any. so you'll just watch a mediocre team for about 15+ years until the fanbase gets fed up and starts dwindling again. and eventually they'll move the team back down to Oklahoma.

i remember when we got the Wild. everybody was all excited and we sold out every game for years even though we sucked. now the team still sucks and games aren't selling out anymore. we're not hurting on attendance yet, but i can see it happening in the next 5 years or so. history repeats itself i guess. maybe you'll have the Winnipeg Wild in about 10 years.

lol No, I don't want to have the Wild. I like teams that can actually produce goals. And I know all too well about the entire novelty idea selling out games wears off quickly if the product continues to not produce. I am well aware they aren't selling out anymore. Fans are a fickle bunch. Take my Pens for example, during 01-06 they were barely filling the place. Now they currently ride the longest sell out streak by an NHL team. Winning goes a long way in a fan's mentality to go out to games and be supportive.

the worst part is that if you win tomorrow, there is almost a 75% chance you lose to the Habs on Wednesday, double whammy :slap

I don't know where you get numbers like that at but if I went with that, 25% is a nice chunk.

Its the back to back rule, 75% of the time they split, its great for picking a dog in sports betting

So if the Flyers win tomorrow, most likely they will lose to Montreal

That is scary how close the numbers are across the board. :horror

I think Bob Hartley would be an interesting hire for Washington. The guy has proven that he can take a talent laden team to the promised land.

As for anyone else, I'm drawing a blank....

The Flyers know how to win. IMO, they have the best balance of talent and grit in the NHL, which makes them extremely dangerous come playoff time. I'd prefer to play any other team. Even if the Habs were to beat them in the playoffs, the team would feel so beaten down physically afterwards that they'd probably lose in 4 of 5 in the next playoff series, even if they played the Islanders.

And yes, that was a compliment to the Flyers... lol

As a Flyers fan, I would have to be a bit concerned about the long term consistency in net. Their goalies strike me as middle relief pitching at best -- good for a few innings but will inevitably peeter off. Also, because they are so well balanced, any key injuries will cost them dearly.
