Off the Fleury discussion and onto bigger and better things. Jason Spezza trolled my Winnipeg Jets. Did you see that one goal? Jason, you sir, are back! And now my Jets face the Rangers on Wednesday. Not looking good. At least I save money by them not making the playoffs. I am so bad. Anyway, as predicted I said the Sabres would get in and take the 8th spot. Seven games into the campaign, I was convinced it was the Capitals' year. I know it's not over, but if that game lastnight between Buffalo and Washington didn't put a stamp on that thought, I don't know what would.

And hey, by the logic going around here, Stamkos went 4 games withoit a point. Why didn't I say he lost his scoring touch and is ____?! Dayum! Then he scored 5 goals in his following 4 games. I sure would look bad... Oh boy.

That's nice DP. His season, and past seasons were he took us to two Cup Finals, and one which was a Cup really doesn't make me give a damn what you think of his game. :)

I have been quite happy with his history as a Pen. Do I think he's the best goalie in the league? Nope. 5 years ago that distinction belonged to Brodeur. Now it belongs to Hank.

Man do you get defensive of any type of negativity towards the Pens. :lol

Best goalie in the league today is Lunquvist, as much as it pains me. Fleury is probably not even in my, or mostly anyone's, top 5. There are also a ton of mediocre dime a dozen goalies who have won Cups and are now not playing too good. Jean Sebastien Giguere comes to mind.

No. When it comes to players that deserve it, then yes. Fleury doesn't. Right now there aren't many Pens who deserve that kind of negative assault.

And I even stated Lundqvist being the best goalie right now. Never once said Fleury is the best or is top 3 best. I would argue and say he's in the top 5 this season.

Not seeing such a talented player like Ovechkin sitting out in the Playoffs is not good!! Poor Ovy.

That's what happens when you play uninspired hockey for 3 quarters of a season, and finally show up in the past 10 games. Too little, too late. He's the team's leader and by that default should lead by example. The team usually follows the leader. It seems to be the case with OV and Washington. How he goes, so does the team.

Doesn't help that their best rush defenseman (Mike Green) is playing a scared and an over cautious game.

Fleury and the Pens are having a great season. THERE! You happy now? I said it. :gah::pfft::mad:

He's one of the leagues poster boys and it's not good for the NHL to have him sitting out. Imagine if there's a season where Crosby and the Pens don't make the Playoffs? Not good for the NHl to have their breadwinners sitting out.

With the way the point system is now, basically everyone gets a point and thanks for coming out to play. The games in the beginning of the season are so important. Last year watching the Devils come so close was the first time in a long time I had to see that. I got so use to seeing them sitting on the top, like a spoiled Yankee fan. Now the whole season is like one giant playoff game, every game is mattering. Like your Pens could finish 1st or 4th depending on how the Rangers and the season go. It's nerve wrecking.

I will agree I tend to take it a bit far concerning the Marc-Andre Fleury subject, and it certainly is a waste of my time. I should and do know better. Knock on wood, but I choose to go down that road regardless of that fact. Having said that, I can't stomach hockey fans who 1. Are so-called fans of a team that said goalie plays on and 2. Have it so wrong and 3. ____ on him so willingly and with a great passion, but when the guy plays balls out hockey, they aren't there to show the gratitude. It doesn't add up. It's silly and non logical. But anyway, I promise from now on I will not let it bother me anymore. I will let them have their petty opinions and I'll keep to my opinion that the guy is having a strong season.

In the end, I need to get over the small bull____ stuff in life. This is small bull____.

I know he's one of the poster boys. Right up there with Crosby. And it sucks when either one is hurt or is a no show come playoff time. Their playoff rivalry (Pens and Caps) is some of the best hockey I seen in recent memory. Again, the season isn't over. But it will happen from time-to-time in their hockey careers. It happens to a lot of the greats. Former poster boys. It happened to Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. Guys have off seasons. Some say Ovie got off the drugs. Other's say that McPhee is obsessed with the Caps playing a more defensive well-rounded game and No. 8 is all about the offence. Some say this and some say that. In the end of the day the guy is clearly not playing like the old Alex the Great. I am sure he'll bounce back next year. Malkin had two down years as well. Many had him written off and took him out of the "Big 3" discussion and replaced him with Stamkos. This season it's Ovechkin's turn. Next year, I am guessing he puts himself back into the "Big 3" discussion. He's too talented and young not to.

Back to Fleury

Ill admit he has played great, and really only the second was his fault. Martin is driving mu nutz, he better shape up.

But for Fleury, as the checking gets tighter, he will have to play great in the playoffs for the Pens to go far. Lets hope he keeps playing well down the stetch, some real tough games coming and it doesnt look like we can catch first now

Gautier finally gets fired...
Now, boy-president-numnuts needs to get this ship set straight.

So do you think the Molsons will go along with the circus of having Roy as GM? The others I heard rumored were Julien Brisebois and Pierre McGuire.

Now it's just embarrassing. :rotfl

:lol Hartnell is such a _____ to initiate then back down on Phaneuf and Brown.

I hope we ____ing lose all the five remaining games, gives us a better chance at Nail'ing a Yakupov.

Wow, 7-1..i just checked..good. XD

Ahh well, Simmonds got a pair..another good Scarborough born player just like the Stewart brothers and Stamkos.
