Have you ever even played hockey or do you just watch it on tv? I came to this thread because it was active. Didn't know it was populated by a pack of Pittsburgh jock sniffers. You don't know anything about what kind of fan I am, do you think Sideshow Freaks is where I come to discuss hockey? Glad to know no one can be a fan if their team beat the Pens. They should rename this thread Penguins or gtfo.

No one said the Pens were awful, just that they got beat and it seems neither them nor their fans can accept it. You weren't guaranteed a deep playoff run this year so just get over it. You were beat by your own shaky goaltending and the fact that your starts didn't show up to play. Then they tried to goon it up. And still got beat. Sorry that I'm not a SSF hockey pundit. Laugh all you want and enjoy watching the rest of the playoffs.

You totally misquoted me, I never said I didn't care about the cup and yes, I attacked Pittsburgh as a hockey city when you attacked my credibilty as a fan. When you have a player like Crosby, yes, other teams fans are going to enjoy giving him some comeuppance, just like Mario and Gretzsky before him. even Lindros, don't tell me you weren't happy when Scott Stevens drilled him in the 00 playoffs.

On a side note, in most stadiums you will see alot of opposing teams jerseys, maybe not alot but at least a few. In Sundays game I couldnt make out ONE single Pens jersey in the crowd... no one that brave

I honestly believe the state of PA has the most devoted fans in sports period. That's just my humble opinion. You can go anywhere in the US and find an Eagles or Steelers bar.

Winnipeg and the entire Province of Saskatchewan say hello when it comes to the Jets, Blue Bombers, and the Rough Riders. Saskatchewan is mad about the RR. Almost everyone there has some RR paraphernalia on them, their car, and/or house/yard. Winnipeg is stupid nuts with the Jets. Top selling merchandise of any sports team in North American pro sports this year. Selling out jerseys at a rate, that the Canadian factories can't keep up, so now they have the Indonesia factories pumping them out. The Jets merchandise/jerseys out sell other cities own teams jerseys... like in Edmonton and Calgary. Jets fever has reached mammoth proportions! Of course, this is a big hockey market starved of NHL hockey for nearly two decades. The novelty will ware off eventually. But right now, it's ____ing crazy!!!

Isnt Saskatchewan's total population less than 400,000? And isn't every resident there a share owner of the Rough Riders because if they weren't they couldn't have a team to begin with?

Something to be said about that and a fan base. Not like a 2-3 ultra rich d-bag owner team...who's fans seem all to passionate to support and throw their money at.
