Chicago Tribune leaks news of new GM in Montreal - Marc Bergevin.
However, I was hoping for Pierre McGuire. I was really curious to see what he could do.

How much experience does this fellow have in management?
One year as an assistant GM? The rest was more in supportive roles, e.g. scouting.

I don't want to dump on this hiring. However, I'd love to know why he was chosen over McGuire.
This better not be because of language...

I'll never forget what Boivin, the former president of the Habs said when asked, "If you had a choice between choosing a stanley cup winning coach who happens to be anglophone and a french coach with zero NHL experience, who would you choose?". He said, "I would have to look at that".

Une mot... Francais

This is why I dont root for the Habs, they make decisions based on the political climate

Enjoy 8th at best for teh next five years. Toronto Maple Leafs part two

Caps probably lost the series tonight. Losing at home in triple OT giving home ice right back to NY. I remember the Caps being up 2 games to 0 over Pittsburgh and lost game 3 in 4 OT on their way to losing 4 straight to drop that series. Games like this can crush a team

And crush a certain Jason's spirits. sadface

On the bad end of a great game, which no doubt took at least a year off my life watching. Still proud of the Caps, played hard throughout. Hendricks really stood out last night, just too bad we let it get away. It's gonna be tough together back in the series after a loss like that but I have faith in Hunter. On the plus side I think the Caps have found a permanent goalie.

Freakin' Gaborik. Shouldn't that little weasel be out with the flu or something???

Yep!

Well, Holtby is undefeated following a loss, so worst case scenario, he just needs to win game 7 again.
