Ownership, management, coaching, down to players have always requested that they need that fan support, the seventh man on the ice. Just google seventh man on the ice and look at all the players and teams that pop up in quoted searches that they need that seventh man? What do you think they are referring to? The fans. The Winnipeg Jets have always been quoted as saying, we had a chance at the playoffs for one major reason, the fans. Our home record was indicative of great fan support. Away teams found our building hard to play in.

Without fan support, putting those ***** in the backs of those seats, the jersey sales, television ratings, (and in certain markets they are strong), there would be no NHL. In the end of the day, they need the fans. 3 billion dollars in revenue since the lockout. I think it's actually closer to 4 billion now as that was reported years ago. Point is, fans have a lot more to do with outcomes to games than you believe. Just as officiating does. As does ice conditioning. We're all apart of it. I suppose I can say "we" because I am a season ticket holder, and my group (area is loud). We're the nose bleeds section, and for whatever reason we're the loudest and rowdiest of the bunch. We're the double beer fisters and the ones who like to party. We make the opposing team know we're not going to make life easy for them in our building. ____ing damn rights! :rock

Was waiting for that comment. Until George McPhee is no longer the GM of the Caps I am done even resembling passionate. I'll score check and see where they are, but I'm boycotting "die-hard" status until he's gone.....or we win a cup :hi5:

Of course I am going to go there. You said you were done. Being here contradicts that. You are a confused fella, but I still love yeah. :1-1:

Eli, long, drawn out posts don't make you right. Just an FYI.

It's called subjection. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make you right. Drawn out posts or not, this is a subjective discussion with good points made by all. In the end, no matter what we post, neither side will agree.

And If I remember correctly, it was Ringer who pointed out that the Flyers beat my Pens in the 1st round of this year's playoffs. He brought up a fact from the past, so I brought up a fact that my Pens won 3 Cups to his Flyers' 2. Only fair? No? Then these big babies got in an uproar and cried how that is stupid. HAHAHA!!! So it's okay if you guys can bring up things from the past, but I can't? Sniveling babies.

It's called subjection, not fact. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make you right. Drawn out posts or not, this is a subjective discussion with good points made by all. In the end, no matter what we post, neither side will agree.

:stick:stick:stick

I took out the fact part, because both sides posted facts. In the end, this is a subjective discussion. No wait, I win. I always win.

WE WON 3 CUPS! WE WON WE WON WE WON!

WE WE WE WE WE WE

btw I deserve the Conn Smyth Trophy if the Jets ever win, because I am that good of a fan!

Being right all the time is tough work, but it's rewarding when you know the rest are just plain wrong. Oh why do I feel burdened by such a gift.. I should be happy, but all it does is make others envious of me. I am sorry everyone. It's not my fault, I was born to be right all the time. I came out a baby of pure perfection. I know... it's tough to live in my shadow. *sigh*

Ringer has agreed to be my sidekick. His attire comes complete with spandex, cape, and leotards. Robin may have been the sheek sidekick then, but that all changes with the Ringer!

:lecture

Not true. Sports fans fuel these teams. These teams do not exist without fan support.

Fans are the sixth man (skater), or seventh if you count goalie. That's why in many cases teams play better in their own buildings.

And I was put on ignore when I tried to contradict this exact post earlier in this thread.

Also, fans act like "I personally beat you" if the team I like beat the team you like. Hardly..........the team you like won, Congrats, but you didn't beat me at anything.

*word*

Tell that to the Steelers fans in the NFL thread. :lecture:rotfl

:lol:lol

:lecture And Green Bay fans too.

Only one line can settle this....

STFU Eli.

Thank you! Pure gold never gets old.
