These games are giving me stomach aches. I almost cant even watch and would rather read about it in the paper. I have a diaper on and am sucking my thumb under my blankey every game.

LET'S GO DEVILS

That was a weird game.

It seems the Devils can (and have) win this year in the playoffs with a questionable Marty, but the Rangers can't win when Henrik gets spotty. Which really isn't surprising, since Lundqvist is the only reason why they are even at this point. Not that Henrik was as bad as the stats say (4 on 16), I think only the third goal was really weak. I also question his passive stick on the fourth goal. But that's nothing compared to Brodeur's loltastic third goal, and putrid breakaway save attempt.

Now please finish this team off, Devils, so my Facebook feed can stop being filled with Ranger posts, since I'm from NY. (90% of them being from "diehard fans" who haven't said word one about the Rangers until April.)

Looked like when the Rangers got that 3rd goal they just were like "ehhh, we got this. No big deal", whereas the Devils stayed consistent and just seemed to be waiting for the Rangers to wear themselves out so they could steal the momentum back.

That goal by Callahan looked questionable at best. Looked to me like he kicked it in, but they were saying about a re-direct. Would be funny to see a Devils fan kick a Rangers fan, and when the Rangers fan says "why'd you kick me?" have the Devils fan respond with "that wasn't a kick, it was a re-direct."

The Rangers actually looked like the more dominant team until about mid-way through the 3rd period, then NJ seized their moment. Like stated earlier, NY can't win when Lundqvist has an off game. They are just NOT a high caliber offense that can survive a shootout. They've survived on goal tending and shot blocking all season, and up to this point.

Bryce Salvadore now = 17-3-8-11, +10. One of his goals were shorthanded. What a waste. Nobody has him in their hockey pools. lol I would love if he won the Conn Smyth!

He's really been impressive in this playoff run, hope he can keep up the tempo. Hopefully Devils can close it tomorrow at home.

And he's a local boy (from my neck of the woods), doing good. Love it! Top scoring dman for the Devils. Who would have thought that a career SAH dman who gets around 12-13 points per season would be leading New Jersey's blueline in scoring after three rounds of playoff hockey? Not this guy, and THAT'S WHY, I said all along you can't dictate the most knowledgeable hockey fan by picking out winners.... playoffs is a whole other animal. One that is very unpredictable. Salvadore is this year's Ville Leino. Break out playoff anomaly. The only difference is he won't see a big boost in offensive production next year.

I almost would like to see him get PP time. I know he sees more ES time than any other dman wearing the Devil horns in these playoffs, but I would love to nurture his good play by giving him a shot on the PP. Having said that, you don't fix what's working for you, and so far the Devils have gone far beyond the expectations put on them this year. This could be another Cup year for Marty! I haven't checked the leader board, but I wonder if he's the leading point getter for all dmen in these playoffs.
