As much as I would love to see Los Angeles win their first ever Stanley Cup, I would love to see the greatest goaltender ever, and my all-time favorite, Martin Brodeur go out on top like another elite superstar before him, Raymond Bourque. And before him, Lanny McDonald!

You know the League offices are saying "Thank God Phoenix didn't make the finals. That would have really killed the ratings."

LA in 5, but would love to see it in 4...the devils arent that good, they just played the rangers when the rangers decided to play the worst they have all year for atleast the first 20 mins (and sometimes the whole game) every game.

let me add..marty was amazing for them, cant take that away even tho i hate fatso

Why would you hate Brodeur?. XD

You're a Avery fan i take it?..aww FFS.

I was never a fan of Brodeur because I felt alot of his accomplishments were a result of the dreadful neutral zone trap the Devils played for years. But now I have tp begrudgingly tip my hat to him. Go Devils.!

Even if that were the belief, which is ridiculous, you still need the right man between the pipes to take you to 4 Cup Finals and win you 3 Cups.

The guy is not just solid and consistent year-in and year-out, he's very durable, and also has a mean stick. Guy can handle the puck better than any netminder around. He's the complete goalie.

On the topic of Martin Brodeur...

Here's an interesting factoid: The Calgary Flames traded up in the 1990 draft to select Trevor Kidd. The pick they traded away was used to select Martin Brodeur. Calgary wanted to ensure they got the best goalie in the Draft. Things that make you go, "Hmmm."

:lol:rotfl:lol:lol

You sound bitter.

It always amazes me the sorry excuses people come up with when their team loses.

It's never about what the other team did. It's always about what your team didn't do.

The Rangers lost. Thanks for playing and goodbye. :wave

not bitter at all, the rangers did not play their best hockey by far, if you cant see that i dont kno what games you watched, a bitter fan(or coach)would blame the refs, or say the other team cheated in some way...blaming your own team seems to me as the most logical thing.

The Devils play mature patient hockey. I wonder how the Kings will respond to the adversity the Devils bring to the table. The Kings haven't really been challenged yet.

Given how the Flyers came out against the Pens, you'd think the Devils might be nervous to play them, instead they were remarkably poised. The Devils are quite well coached, and they aren't particularly tired. I think this should be a decent series. I think this should a really fun goaltending duel.

No, bitter fans also will never give the other team credit that they are due. They will always say my team didn't play well. Like the opposing team had nothing to do with that? :dunno
