I was referring to his leaf years, to be honest I didint even consider the Canucks stint

I liked him more as a Quebec Nordique. 47 goals and 114 points were his career bests. Again, didn't look that up. lol

But yeah, I met the guy in 1999 when I visited Toronto. Took a pic with me in it and got his Johnny Handcock. Seemed like an okay guy. Granted it was a few minutes.

Phaneuf is a good player but lets be realistic, you could run that highlight real on any big one dimesnsional d man.

I'd take him over Weber, Campoli, Gill, and Kaberle.

Nah, i think the fans like him and give him a fair shot and he has been pretty solid defensively in the 22 games he has played this year, its Schenn that Leaf fans critique.

I would say my favorite D man on the Leafs this season has been Carl Gunnarsson.

Schenn is due for a trade while Leafs can still get something decent for him. His play has been below subpar lately.

But Gunnarsson has been excellent all year. I do love Liles as well, it's really a shame he got injured. Nice to see that Leafs signed him for another 4 years though

He basically just breaks his record from the previous year. And Weber is just there to keep him on his toes.

What's sad is that I believe Weber's high score from last night would have beaten last year's record... but it came too late as Chara beat last year's record first and he did it with a harder shot than Weber's.

Boy oh boy, was I right on the money. That All-Star game was boring and full of suck. Who would have phunked that?

Why even put defenseman in these All-Star games or goalies for that matter. Just have all forwards go at it.

Of course it was. It's full of a bunch of chicken little's who are too scared to do anything for fear of injury

They should just vote in all the tough thugs and let them fight each other. Now that would be an all-star game

To hell with the breakaway challenge and whatnot, just have a bench-clearing event and hardest punch
