If the Pens can get Crosby at 50%, I believe they can go to the Final. They have so much experience, without all the arrogance, I just can't see them bowing out early. However, who knows what might happen with the wings and blues. They're playing great hockey this year.

I have a feeling that Boston is going to implode. I also have a feeling everyone in the league is analyzing the Bruins style of play to death. I just don't see them surprising anyone this time. More teams are preparing themselves to battle them physically.

Sundin's number gets retired tonight. Anyone watching?
What this player consistent throughout his entire career or what?
You always knew what you were getting with Sundin. Great player.

I've been waiting for Sundin's number to be retired for years and I'll probably retire my Sundin jersey and have it framed :D

IMO, he was one of the best Leafs' captain in TML history. Classy player and a true gentleman to the sport. It's a rare breed nowadays in the NHL.

Can't wait for tonight :rock

I want Crosby back by some miracle for the entire playoffs and be at his best, so the Pens can win their 4th Stanley Cup!

I think ol' Sid will be packing his things and taking a fat front office position with the Pens :lecture

And Eli, stop being a chump and just admit the Leafs are a very good team this year :lol:nana:

haha Jamie... big ____ disturber like me. TWINS! EEEEeeee! I am a young Ahhhnuld, and you're Danny Devito!

Anyway, my Pens _____slapped my Jets. It was both awesome and saddening to see. This hockey fan was torn tonight. On one hand I was super happy, and on the other I was very displeased. Two Face mania! I should just flip a coin and decide what my true fate is... to end Jamie... I mean, woah there... I mean to be happy that my Pens slaughtered a team or be miserable that the team that got slaughtered was my Jets!

:lol Danny Devito, good God! I think we can find a better match than those two!

You're in a real pickle there, Eli. Now do you really LOVE the Pens or is it just Fleury :nana:

He has a Fleury Man crush lol

Didnt notice but what was Flowers save percentage today??

The Jets must have ripped about 40 shots plus at him today to score 5 right???

:)

Even w/o Crosby back think the Pens can make teh Final, but the PP will have to work unlike last year and Fleury/defence will have to play better also

I love the Flower, Sid the Kid, Geno, Neal the Real Deal, and Tanger. Everyone else is expendable to me. Those right there are the core. I would say GTFO to Shero if he ever moved one of them. Having said that, Marc-Andre Fleury stunk it up big-time! I'll gladly admit to that being a ____astic game on his part, but he still came out with an NHL assist and win from it. In his defence, Ondrej Pavelec was far worse. I am not a fan of Ondrej. I want the Winnipeg Jets to trade for Eddie Lack, or heck, even Cory Schneider. I like Lack because he has no glaring faults to his game. A big-bodied man who fills out the net, has great East-to-West coverage. Great at reading shooters, playing the angels well, and can even play the puck. He's the best goalie not in the NHL! Make it happen Chevy! Back to the Pens/Jets game, it was definitely not a goaltender's game. I don't know what it is about my Jets and when they play Pennsylvania teams in their home turf, but there always seems to be a free wheeling 80's style showdown between the two rosters.

How about Geno?! 43 points in his past 27 games since Crosby went down again. Guy is carrying that team on his back right now. His puck protection is almost as sick as No. 87's during that span. He's winning tons of battles along the boards and corners. He seems so possessed out there. Looks like my all-time favorite at times, Mario Lemieux on how he uses his big body to glide into the play, and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He anticipates and adapts to the play as it unfolds, just like Le Magnifique. Their subtle approach to the game, while not as flashy as a Pavel Bure-type, gets things done. You can see they are like a great white shark, ready to swim in and make the attack. A thing of beauty!

Well to be honest, I really like the Pens. However, I LOVE Geno. That guy is unstoppable! I remember talking to a bud back in like October or November about whether Malkin was still injured. Then a few weeks later, Malkin is at the top of every scoring sheet and stats list there is :lol Incredible!

Trade Gomez to the Flyers.

I know you're not being serious because of the ringer's post. It looks as though he wants Scott Gomez as a Philadelphia Flyer. Dang foo! Who knows what that post was about. Anyway, Gomez's salary, cap hit that goes along with it, and lack of production, he is more suited for a buy out (which won't happen now) vs. a trade. He has zero trade value and no team would take him on. Montreal is stuck with the turd and your post best explains the turd. F'icking overpaid turd.

I was praying for a W this afternoon, not GOmez. :lol

No man crush, just being realistic. Unlike you and others in this thread concerning the guy. Even Prax gets it and he's a very knowledgeable Penguins fan. He's been great the past two seasons for us. Outside of Malkin this season, he has been our MVP these past two seasons. Accept it or not. I do like the guy. He's genuinely a good kid, unlike that ********* Carey Price. I will admit this game he let in some big softies and left me with my head scratching, like wtf? Again, it wasn't just him. It was that way for both netminders. It was the tempo, mood, and pace of the game that decided the fate. But yeah, I can't defend him in this one. He plain and simply was not good, and he got the win only because the Pens offence was that dominate.

No, my man crush will always be Mario Lemieux and Ron Francis. To me, those two can do no wrong.

Rinaldo sure is racking up those PIMs goon style! And how about that Scotty Hartnell?! Career season! Finally! We were supposed to see this several years ago. Nice to finally see him come out for you guys the way he has. He's stepped it up since Richards and Carter were traded. No wonder Philadelphia hasn't taken a step back. So many guys have stepped up when those two left.

I have a pic with Mats Sundin and his autograph. I met him as an active Maple Leaf in TO in 1999 at the HHOF. True story! :lecture

Sweet! I have a pic of Mats and his autograph framed as well... I really want to frame my Sundin jersey now and put it next to the picture :D Such a classy player and a gentleman, he is truly a legend now :lecture

But did you ever meet the man? :)

Anyway, yeah he's a good player. I know he had 57 points as a rookie and his best season was 114 points with the Nordiques. Not looking up stats. I like the fact a solid scorer, physical when he needed to be, and wasn't bad defensively. I am not sure if I agree with the best Leafs captain ever tag, but he definitely was a good one. Too bad Vancouver fans didn't see the same Mats. In the end, it doesn't matter. He is deserving to be in the HHOF.

Bah no! I wish!!!! One day :D :lol

He will be in the HHOF...one day. But at least no one can ever play as 13 :yess:
