Leafs looked abysmal tonight. What a night to call it in.
And, Pheneuf on the Eller goal was abysmal. What the heck was that?

Habs came to play. Leafs played not to lose and opened themselves up to making all sorts of mistakes.
I imagine Leafs fans will feel cheated and think they should have won this game and that everything was unfair.

That's exactly what I think :lol

He's only 22 you drama queen and is on pace for 24 points and has led all NHL dmen in hits the past two seasons. He'll get it!

Ye, I am a drama queen :lol I expect better plays from him and considering that we have a strong defence (don't mention tonight), I think he is ripe for a trade to get a strong power forward.

It's really too bad JVR has a concussion, otherwise you wouldn't hear me shut up about making that deal.

Ryan Malone would be a nice acquisition too.

Malone is too old and not much of a finisher to be a good fit for your team long term. I don't see his long term viability in this league being note worthy. A few more decent seasons, followed by a reduction of bottom six duty, healthy scratches, and then minor league/retirement fodder. A JVR type makes more sense.

Scratch Malone, he is on the IR on Tampa.

JVR is ideal because he is young...but ugh, he just had to get a GD concussion!

5-0 Habs now...defence has just been atrocious tonight. Please Burke, wrap Schenn up and trade him. Please?

Shenn leads all Defencemen in hits. He's worth keeping. Amd, he's young so chances are, he'll get even better, and meaner too.
As an aside, I hadn't realized 5 mill man Komisarek has been scratched that often from the roster lately.

Good! About time Mike Brown jumps on the ice and shows Subban up..too bad they didn't scrap though :(

What would a fight with Mike Brown prove? This is thug hockey. While I'm fine with fighting when it's part of the immediate moment of the game, I'm against it when coaches put no-talent goons on the ice specifically to go after the other team's better players just to beat them up. That's not sportsmanship to me.

It's not sportsmanship when Slewban is going around trying to take guys off their feet in a cheap and dirty way. That's not hockey, that's THUG hockey. Subban is a thug and a dirty player so Brown went after him because Brown only fights dirty thugs.

I watched the Sundin retirement ceremony tonight. It was pretty good. But why does Don Cherry need such a grand entrance though??? Do they follow him from his car every week, or was tonight special???

Oh, and this morning, The Sour was about as effective at stopping pucks as a wet paper towel.

It was special tonight. It was "Hockey Day in Canada" out in PEI so the whole town gathered for Don to do Coach's Corner and a ceremony with veterans in their local arena.

Here's a cool trade, Eli...

Schenn, Grabovski, Kulemin and Kadri for....

Malkin!

:lol Dare I dream that Burke will one day get rid of our useless players...

*sigh*

Noooo not Grabo!, he's one hell of a player.

And you know Jake Gardiner looks so smooth on his skates, reminds me of Bobby Orr, great skater.

Grabo is a good player (sometimes), but he is asking for too much money right now. I think he could be packaged up somewhere before the deadline.

One thing we know for sure is that Kulemin will not be back on the Leafs next season. He will either be traded before the deadline or just not resigned as he is a FA come the summer.

Monster and Franson are also FA's and there is no doubt in my mind that Burke will hesitate in signing them.

Bible boy needs to go, Franson too since he was so cocky coming into training camp thinking he was automatically making the team and so far he looks ____, i'd rather see komoin the starting line up then him.

Kulemin, the force just isn't with him this season when it comes to point producing but, all other areas of his game are solid i think.

I say sign Jonas to a short term deal, he's the better goalie...gotta get rid of Reimer, the goalie Leafs originally had no future plans for.

:rotfl

Who is bible boy?!

Franson is decent but still super young. He is a cheap player so I'm sure Burke will keep him.

Komisarek is also a waste of money, I'd dump him ASAP. Liles, Phaneuf and Gunnarrson are easily our best d-men.

Reimer-Mask-D.jpg

:lol

Even Jesus could'nt help you save a goal last night ya poor ____er, he was helping Price though. XD

Leaf fans seem quite fickle.

Last year at Reimer was the second coming of the guy on the back of his mask. Now he needs to go.:lol

Being a goalie in the NHL is the toughest job overall.

I'm not completely throwing Reimer under the bus but, after examining his technique/style game after game, i like Jonas much more, he reads the plays better, has better form and gives up less rebounds.
