Not delusional at all, the Leafs are playing poor right now, doesn't mean i'm going to hate the team, they've played some exciting hockey this season. Hockey is #1 here in Ontario and this is the main reason Leaf fans want a winner, there is not much else to fall back on.

Its always easy for guys like you to hate on the Leafs, i think fans just want that day to come where guys like you would STFU(we are long overdue) because really you're Pens are not the Detroit Red Wings. You make it sound like i'm constantly in here saying the Leafs are going to win the cup blah blah blah, you're Pens are good but, i'd doubt they go anywhere in the playoffs since teams like Detroit and St.Louis will own them, hell i bet Ottawa would beat them in a series 4-2.

Dude, I didnt even bring up the Pens you did :gah:

Why do Leafs and Habs fans (mainly) feel the need to defend a ____ty team all the time? Thats not being a fan, its being a homer. All my other main sports teams are garbage, Im still a fan and root for them but I dont defend how crappy they, that just dumb.

Hey New York Yankees, you suck but the Kansas city Royals are awesome... who does that?

I dont hate the Leafs at all, or the Habs. I hate there delusional fans that feel the need to justify these crappy teams and organizations constantly. They are ____ty so what, live with it and move

Oy vey... The Habs let in 3 goals with just over 3 minutes left to the game to allow the Wild to tie.
The Habs managed to win in the shootout... but jeez.

True fans will always defend their team. That's just how sports work. Go Leafs Go.

True fans will SUPPORT their teams al the time

Hyundai drivers dont tell Ferrari owners their car is better :)

Saturdays game is shaping up like a good one, if the Habs win that puts them real close to the Leafs in the standings.

The Jets are on fire, would like to see them in the playoffs

Who said i was defending their bad play as of late?..hmm?.

True fans don't give up on their favorite team(s), especially when it becomes a trend. I was rooting for the Habs when they knocked out the Pens and Caps and still like the team and watch their games. Now i know the Leafs have a slim chance of making the playoffs but, i won't be too pissed if they don't squeeze in because i'll be watching the Sens, Jets(if they get in) and St.Louis games.

It was never the coach IMO, its definitely the players as in most cases when a team is on a lengthy losing streak, was pretty evident if you watched all of the last 14 games. I hope this change up wakes everyone up on the bench as they need that hardnose style coach i think.

Supposedly Lupul didn't get along well with Carlyle before he was a Leaf, hopefully that doesn't interfere with his play.

An excerpt from Lupul...

“I know the opportunity I’m getting in Toronto I never would have had in Anaheim. Randy Carlyle just didn’t see me as that type of player,” Lupul said in November. “You want to prove people wrong. (Carlyle) didn’t give me any opportunity on left wing. His words to me were, ‘You’re not able to play left wing in this league.’ It’s something I’ve worked on since I got to Toronto, and now I feel more comfortable on left than I ever was on right.”

I thought a better coach could of been picked rather than Carlyle...Hopefully they work out their differences and Carlyle recognizes Lupul for all his hard work thus far on the Leafs.

If Schenn thought he felt pressure playing under Wilson, just wait until Carlyle breaks him, piss will be running down his leg into his Total One's after another bad shift. XD

He won't. It's pointless at this time. No playoff able team would make a move this late in, and no bottom place finisher would make that move right now. Yes, Toronto did, but that's because everyone wanted his head and management listened. He may find a new team next year, but not with under 20 games left. It took Randy Carlyle 30 games to find new employment. btw I called this... Carlyle to the Leafs. Granted, a lot of people did.

Also I met Randy many times in the past when he was in Winnipeg as a player, coach, and general manager.

I don't know about that. Lou Lamoriello is still running the Devils.
