It's a great deal for the Leafs, not so much for Phili...but apparently Phili had a big interest a few weeks ago, but then the deal went quiet because of JVR's concussion. Plus, Schenn has been BRUTAL his last 10 games or so.

Who knows what will happen, maybe Phili still wants the Schenn brothers to play together?

TSN started its trade deadline day coverage at 6AM. It's now 12:10 PM and only one trade has taken place in the NHL... lol
Talk about a bust so far... lol.

Meh... Outside of Winnipeg getting an NHL team again, this has been a rather disappointing hockey year. With all the deaths, the concussions, and players off their games. The lack of trades/moves... Just a year I can't wait to be over. Hopefully 2012/13 is a better one.

Yea and we lost Ovechkin....I know a lot of people don't like him, but he adds a lot of depth to the game that is really exciting to watch one way or another. The B's or Red Wings will probably win the cup and it'll be another boring Stanley Cup win.

Rangers and Penguins have a chance, if New York doesn't eff-up their chemistry by taking on Nash and if Crosby is good to go in our playoffs.

This happens every year though. Deadline day is like media week before the Superbowl....it's there to spark interest in the sport.

a good to go guideline..is the more coverage and hype the less trades. Trade deadline is an event for media...on average very few impact changes are made within the league.

Nope, Aulie wasn't very good...still a rookie but we have enough depth in our defence right now, we needed more forwards. I think it was a very solid trade.
