The reason we're winning is because we have a coach he isn't afraid to tinker with the lines and see what works. And devide his 3 biggest scoring assets up front evenly. Crosby on the 1st line. Kessel on the 2nd line, and Malkin on the third. He gives them all a decent winger and a guy who gives them size, speed, or some other valuable trait. The 4th line now has Fehr centering Cullen and the German kid... this is a tough team to match up against.

Very true, I love Sullivan's approach, so different than disco Dan

My issue is, even if we get through Tampa, the Sharks are going to be tough...

Tonight's game was so frustrating, pens should have won this
It's tough to give up 4 goals that quickly and say the Pens should have won the game. Tampa deserved the win. Don't worry though, we have a MAF sighting. I think he'll be in net for the next game. It's been a good series so far.

Now this is a game you can say the Pens should have won. I wonder who'll be in net for game 6? They made the change to MAF for game 5 so I think he'll get the nod.

Pitt's in a weird position where the only downside is public image. They have two goalies playing well, but Fleury is the one who lost tonight - so if they start him next game and they lose, the common outcry will be "Murray got them here, they should have stuck with him after one bad game."

I'm no fan of MAF, but the stats for tonight don't tell the tale. As a goalie, I can commiserate with having a "bad" game where you played very well.

The first goal was questionable only because Tampa had no legit pass available, so MAF should have been challenging a bit more. If he's at the top of the paint, maybe that shot catches his shoulder. But at the same time, that was a GREAT shot. Goal 2, he had no chance. Goal 3 was bad timing, because he did what he was supposed to do - direct the rebound to the corner - but Tampa was overpowering Pitt and got there for the rebound / wraparound. Goal 4 was a brutal redirect - that puck is going wide if it doesn't hit Johnson's back.

MAF made some fantastic saves. The ghost of his playoff mental toughness will always loom large, so even after a loss where he gave a solid performance, you maybe wonder if it still affects him.

Still, if I'm the coach (and I'm not, in case you were wondering) I go MAF next game.

Either way, both teams are fun to watch and this is a series if my Pens lose, I would be sad, but not to the point where I would be done with these playoffs. I like a lot of things about the Lightning. One of my all-time favs, Yzerman is their GM. I love Cooper as a coach. I am a Hedman, Drouin, and Stamkos fan. I also like Kurcherov, Johnson, and Marchessault. Bishop seems like a nice guy. This is a fun series for hockey fans. Would have been great if Stamkos was playing. And before a Pens fan tells me, no that makes the steaks even greater for Pittsburgh to win.. I rather lose to a Tampa team with Stamkos vs. without. Just shows how much depth and skill is on this team and that last season's Cup Final was no fluke.

Sorry dude, why can't you just say it?Fleury played like **** and most likely we won't bounce back.

When it was 2-0 and he made that crazy save, I was all set to praise for stepping and getting us the win, then he lets in that seeing eye shot.

The Pen are ****ed now, you play fleury and they lose, can you ever bring him back next year? You start Murray and they lose, everyone will say you should have played MAF

I say you go back to Murray and let you offence win for you and sav MAF for next year

Bruins re-sign Kevan Miller for 4/$10:banghead

You would think that Neely & Sweeney would flip on the TV and realize that guys like Kevan Miller and Adam McQuaid are dinosaurs in today's game. I look forward to the day that Charlie Jacobs realizes that the current management team is completely incompetent and should be immediately fired. It'll probably be April of next year when they miss the playoffs yet again, and have little to nothing as far as cap space and young developing players.

Regardless of the outcome of game seven, MAF should have played his last game of his career as a penguin

We need the cap space with this core that made it to the conference final minimum, Rutherford start calling Toronto

That may have worked in the Burke / Nonis days, but (and this is a weird thing to say) Leafs ownership is too smart for that now.

Have them give Dallas a call - why not make it an even $15 million they're paying goalies?
