What a great game! So close! I love how great the Pens fans are by sticking by the team and chanting, "Go Pens Go!" and "Fleury!"

The Pittsburgh Penguins will have their time! :)

Dude the fans should have gave them mad ^^^^! I am disappointed. They played like they didn't even care until the last 2 minutes.

The players didn't play like they cared? See how close it was? Hossa nearly tied the game with the dying seconds, after being down 3-1. Watch the games next time before you bark.

Anyway, great season by both the Penguins and Red Wings. Great respect from Detroit's players for applauding the Penguin's season and the loud passionate fans.

Um... we did watch the same game. LOL! They were down 3 to 1 with 1:40 something left on the clock before they got intense and started to really play. Sorry but 1 minute left in the 3rd period is hardly the time to play hockey. Sorry Eli but they played just like the damn Flyers played after a while. They were tired and it was for all to see.

They worked their ***** off in the final minutes. Perhaps you need to get a copy of the game and actually watch it. They pressed hard, and got the PP goal on the 6 on 4 PP, with the goalie pulled.

I will admit there were laspes were the Pens looked like they were dog tired, but that doesn't mean they didn't want it. Heck, Malkin found his old footing again and was a machine out there. A lot of guys tried, but don't attribute being dominated by a clearly better team, and due to that reason were tiring, but they tried up until the very end. Thus why we almost saw another repeat of Game 5, a 3-3 game going into OT. Hossa had a great chance to send it into OT, but sadly couldn't get it done.

A unlucky move by Fleury not knowing where the puck was, and falling back on the puck, which led to the puck being knocked in, was pretty much the final nail in the coffin on the Penguin's season.

It is what it is, but think of it this way, before the playoffs started, nobody had the Pittsburgh Penguins making it this far! Only two games away from the Stanley Cup! That's something this VERY YOUNG Pittsburgh Penguins team can take pride in and hold close to their respective hearts.

A Stanley Cup victory is inevitable for the Pittsburgh Penguins. I said this in 06, and I'll say it again. The Penguins time will come. The young Gretzky and Messier led 80's Edmonton Oilers team didn't beat the New York Islanders in their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final. They did it the following year in 1984! The Cup is Pittsburgh bound!

LETS GO PENGUINS!!! LETS GO!!!

That was my point. They can't work hard in the final minutes and expect to win.

Great season, Pens!

You made short work of Philly, Ottawa, NY, Philly and Philly. Not to mention you put up a good fight in the finals for a young team. :joy

Here is to next year. :duff

It's almost time to get it going again. Playoffs are right around the corner. In the east 6 teams are still in the hunt for the last 4 spots!

It'll be nice to care about the playoffs for the first time in far too long.

47 years and counting :monkey2
