Toys-R-Us's in SoCal (or at least in the LA area) didn't get Galaxies today either. They're blaming DHL. There's an insane promotion at Toys-R-Us here where if you buy the game for $50, you get a Toys-R-Us gift card for $25. (Or maybe only if you pre-ordered it.)

Yeah, we have that promotion here too. Anyways, I decided to get it at Best Buy so I am starting it in 5 minutes!!!!!

The $25 gift card isnt only for preorders, preorders do get that collector's coin though.

My TRU didn't get the game in as well...well atleast when I had left they didn't (130pm). So many people acting like asses to us, and a few cussing going on as well.

That is how I feel!!!! I just played about 3 hours, and it is AWESOME!!
The graphics are great, the music is superb. The gameplay takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you got it it's all good. I've seen 2 different suits already, and they are great. They bring back MANY familiar villains from Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario 3, Super Mario World and Mario 64.

You get many chances for 1-Ups, and for me that is a good thing. I can't tell you how many times I've died in this game. Some of the levels are tricky for me right now too, so I gave up!! Regarding the music, there are a lot of oldies that are brought back. There are many musical themes from Super Mario Brothers 3 and Mario World. Overall this is a great game and so far THE BEST Mario game ever for me! Can you tell I'm excited?

I just talked with one of my friends in Chicago and he said that one of the TRU's there sold of of Mario Galaxy because of that $25 deal. So if you want to get it there you may need to go early if your stores haven't gotten it in yet.

They probably are just getting it a day late. Publishers usually announce the ship date as the release date, thereby confusing everybody. If they don't have it today, they'll definitely have it tomorrow.

Alright my TRU got in 145 copies of Mario and had 147 preorders. So all copies that we recieved are going to the people that preordered the game, so there was some people that weren't to happy getting turned away. Also only got in 5 copies of Umbrella Chronicles, I wanted to pick it up (the big RE fan I am), but I already have a bunch of games Ive yet to beat.

Is that the world where the platforms are moving? That was a "B" to get through. I think that one level took me 45 minutes just to get that freakin' star!

I have 26 stars now, and the galaxies just keep getting better and better(and harder!)

EDIT: I just literally saw my Wii glow blue and was wondering who could be contacting me? I just did the Mii update two days ago. It turns out Toad from Super Mario Galaxy is emailing me!!!!! That is just too funny. This is another reason why Mario Galaxy rocks my socks off!

I picked up Super Mario Galaxy tonight because all I kept hearing through different media sources was how great it was. The game does look good but I still don't like the Wii controllers. Niether do either of my kids. We played for a couple hours tonight and no one was thrilled afterwards. I guess I'm just not cut out to be a Wii gamer.
