I don't worry about the Christians seeing this movie, I don't worry about non believers enjoying it, I do worry about the people out there that do accept movies as the truth and don't question anything that's presented to them, they are being set up for the greater lie

Because a mod "believer" is in this particular thread. This board has an extreme left sided view. Any other view is quickly torn apart. It's how it works. Jesus and Obama are kings. I personally believe in one and think the other is running the world to the ground.
Wow, you must be joking. :lol

Extreme left sided view? Obama praised as a king? Are we visiting the same forum?

I've never seen anyone mention Obama on here without insulting the **** out of him.

Brb, gonna go check out that "Liberal Parenting Leads to Brats" thread. :slap

He's not the ideal poster child but it isn't hard to believe either. This was in my door just this afternoon :

And yes that actually says that God has and will continue to literally raise people from the dead to live here on earth not that they will live on in heaven or metaphorically through your memories. And eventually god will do away with death as a thing and everyone will live in eternity, again, here on earth.

Oh and on the back of the pamphlet you can leave a date and time thats good for these people to come back and into your home to talk more about this and maybe murder and eat you.

I got one too, I thought it was a Walking Dead promo. :lol

You know a good old fashioned post-apocalyptic tale of a "Noah-type" character would've had all of us nerds united....

I would gush over a boat made of scrap metal and pallets.

i hope Noah of the latter days built an RV for us freaks....

RV2.PNG

save us Noah from teemu and his ilk.

The "Rapture Guesser 3000"?

Ok that's funny. :lol

The convo up to this point is pretty mild as far as atheists vs. christians goes. Not too bad. There is just no way this forum could honestly sustain thought-provoking debate since most atheists don't go through the trouble to actually learn the various differences between sects and from the start this movie doesn't even pretend to be a "faithful" translation of any particular set of christian beliefs to expect there to be any serious comment on the subject.

In short, it's a cash grab joke and a perfect troll-the-christians opportunity. Try not to feed into anything so obvious.

How can an unbeliever hate something they don't believe in? Isn't that some kind of paradox?

Because man's wicked nature hates God.

you put the FUN in Fundamentalism. anyone not with you is against you world view pretty much puts you in the same basket case of nutjobs that blow themselves up to make a point. :lol

Not really  nothing destructive ever came out of wanting to live a Godly moral life and trying to do good as the Bible teaches.

Man does Evil because he is in Sin and it's his nature.

He's already got a fictional terrorist for an avatar, not sure how God would feel about that.

I knew that I would be attacked over something like that...you're right,God wouldn't approve

One of my favorites...you need to make a new one

People do not like to be told they are sinners I get it, I don't preach people are going to hell.
If you've had a bad experience with Christians then you met a bad Christian not the wrong religion

Right,We are not to judge a person's eternity...only God is our Judge

But the Bible clearly teaches that there is a Hell and that sinner's,unbeliever's are headed there...which is why Jesus Christ is the ONLY way, through his blood of Redemption.

exactly :goodpost: and there are MANY who watch their movies as religion and worship the very fictional characters they see on screen.

Is that Jehovah's Witness or Mormon? Because neither of them are Christians. As for people being upset because they're told they're sinners going to hell, Christians believe the same thing of themselves (that they deserve to go to hell). God doesn't force anyone to believe in him to get into heaven. He offers free salvation to those who believe. If you push God away during this life, why would you want to end up spending eternity in heaven with Him? Hell is essentially the complete absence of God. I see Earth as a mix of Heaven and Hell. There are great things here on this planet. I consider myself to have a great life full of blessings and I am so thankful for them because yes, there is a lot of pain and suffering in this world. Heaven is on the other other end of the spectrum. Pain, suffering, and death will be over.

God has fixed the problem and allows all people to go to Heaven. Christians do spread that message. Some are more militant than others. You have to understand what you see as hate mongering they see as love. I have learned that it's not up to me to convert anyone. I can share my faith through my words and actions. I can also invite people to church. If people refuse to listen, I won't try harder to get them. If they want to live life without God, that's their choice. I'm friends with many atheists. But I must say, none of them act as childish and hateful as some of the posters on this website. The question was asked why you persist in coming here to troll. You claim you're not unbelievers or you don't hate God, but your actions suggest otherwise.

Very excellent post

Though,God also isn't sitting back begging for the unbeliever to come either...God knows who will come, who is saved and he knew all this before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).

In some circles it is believed man doesn't enter into formal hatred of God until in Hell. An oddly familiar description of souls in Hell that I've found (albeit gathered from "mystics" of one sort of the other) includes a vision of biting off one's own skin and throwing it around spitefully. It's sort of Bosch-like/Hellraiser-esque and it's been out there for hundreds of years. Can't beat the old world imagery! :horror

Excellent post!

...what a cluster**** this thread is.

Inspired me to change my avatar, though. I think I've found a keeper.

Because man's wicked nature hates God.

Yeah, that's why 99% of the species believes in one: so they can have something to hate. :cuckoo:

From what I can tell, the most common trait of human beings is to invest their faith in a lawgiver who exists beyond nature, and then love it obediently, selflessly, and without judgment. If I didn't know better, I'd say that was the true hallmark of human nature.

We are story-based creatures, no matter how technologically advanced.

I saw the trailer for this before Hunger Games and I can't wait to see it in theaters. It looks beautiful. Plus when Emma Watson popped up, it solidified my want to see it even more. :lol
