Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I dunno, I thought the Hot Toys Trautman had a decent likeness. (Similar to Kyle Reese's quality and paint) In hand I think you'd see good likeness.

Agree, it's a great likeness. Far better than their Rambo of the same time period. A figure I still need to grab.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

You can't have John Rambo and not have Trautman.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

As much as i loved Rocky and Rambo as a kid i never had any of those figures, crappy local Toy Store i guess.

I never saw Rocky figures, but I have seen photos that suggest there were old school figures.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

My Rambo is on a narrow shoulder. Here is a before and after pic.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Looks better, but I'd have to see him with the Jacket on and what, if any, improvement is gained by the body swap.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Well that's why I'm curious to see what it does with the jacket, with his M65 on, I think he looks to flat and wide in the shoulders, but like Jack Sparrow, changing the body may not fix that if the way the coat is stitched keeps the coat shoulders the same despite the body beneath it, I will investigate though.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

With Jacket on. There is a difference, but not a big one. I'll leave it like this unless/untill I decide I want the body for something else.

Edit: Before on left. After on right.

Is it reverse in that shot, narrow on the right regular on the left because the right photo looks better than the left there.

Yes. Sorry about getting the first one back to front. The one with the jacket is a proper before and after going from left to right.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

It's all good and I'm sold, the difference may be subtle to you, but to me it's significant and well worth it. It's a great sculpt and costume, I've just always disliked the look the body gave it all and now that can be remedied.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Threw my M65 onto a Narrow TT tonight, man what a difference, might not seem like much to folks, I'll have some pictures laterl, but I love the different, really slims down the overall look of his body and the shoulders make a much better shape. Now I'm really happy with this figure. Only downside is, because of the skin tone, I had to keep the neck post from the original body and for some reason, it's quite glossy.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Its hard to believe that I paid $85 for my FB M65 and $81 for my Rambo III. Those days are gone.
