Yeah, the Rex is a cool exclusive. Don't know how much use I'll get out of him, but a cool option to have.

Great pics Galacticboy. I'm way more excited to get him after seeing your pics. Don't know whether to thank you or not as I was already way too excited.:D

why does so many people have the bicep armor on backwards? is it because its loose or something?

Out of the box the right bicep was spun around, I got it turned around (at least I think I did it right) and it spun, but took some work. Unlike the shin armor which moves too freely.

I got a notice saying my card had been declined for the exclusive a couple of days ago. Asked them to re-run the card, and it went through fine. My bank is full of idiots, and I'm about one more inconvenience away from changing banks completely.

Anyway, because of that nonsense I haven't gotten mine yet. Anyone stripped him completely to look at the new body yet?

wasn't it stated somewhere that the torso armor is not removable?

The crappy part about the armor not being removable is that now you can't strip him and fix the loose joints.

Yeah, fixing him would be a real pain. Although I really don't know much you could do to improve the tightness of the joints.

Has anyone tried wrapping the relevant joints in tissue/toilet paper (to protect the surface) then using needle nose pliers to gently but firmly press the joints together, I've used this on some figs in the past and for some it's worked, others not so much. I'm guessing with the double knee design it might not be that effective, but worth a try.

A week after getting the automated e-mail saying the odds weren't good that I'd get the exclusive edition I have on wait-list... my wait-list has been converted. I'm looking forward to adding General Kenobi to my collection.

I got my CW Obi-Wan yesterday afternoon and I must say that I am more satisfied with him than I thought I would be. In seeing some of the pics posted, I thought the flaws (dirty belt, under armor jumpsuit and loose joints) would kill my excitement, but it didn't. Honestly, this is one of Sideshow's best offerings in my opinion. It's definitely one of my top 10. I can tell that they are trying hard to improve on their products (despite the occasional dud).

Here's my two cents (for whatever it's worth). . . . I thought the face sculpt was awesome. They really captured Ewan McGregor's likeness and I much prefer the use of flesh tone plastic rather than the painted face (especially on male characters). I think that Bespin Han would have looked so much better using the same technique. The paint on the beard is great. I only wish they would have put a few highlights in the hair on his head as well. The armor seems to be accurate and more durable than Medicoms. It just feels like a higher quality than Medicoms softer armor. It does fit a little loose below the knees, but I will probably stuff a little cotton in the back calf area to fix that. I kinda like the lack of shine on the armor, but I do hope that the Stormtroopers have a lot of gloss and sheen to their armor. The under armor jumpsuit also isn't nearly as bad as I thought. You have to really be looking for the stripes to notice them and the fabric doesn't feel as cheap and pleatherly as I thought it would. I do wish they would do something (either make the lower leg of the jumpsuit white or somehow make the boot higher or calf armor lower) to hide the black that shows between the feet and calf armor (Medicom does this well IMO). The Exclusive Rex looks great on display, but I was scared to death I was going to break it getting it out of the package since it is only held on the gauntlet by two tiny pegs so I would use caution when handling it. The dirty belt is not nearly as noticeable as I thought it would be from the pics posted in this thread, but I may try to remove the brown later. The tunic and cape are great and the extra hands were a surprising addition. I'd be careful with the pegs on the hands though, while I was switching out the hands, I was scared one of the pegs was going to break as I had to use a bit of force to get the peg in the arm. The joints on mine (especially the legs) were very loose. The figure was limp as a rag doll when I took him out of the package, but thankfully I display all my figures with their stands, so that's not really a huge issue for me. The arms, while loose still hold poses adequately. Overall, I am very satisfied with him and feel like SS has made a great first step in their armored figures. I can't wait for the :stormtroo !

Hmm. I've had the opposite issue with the hands. In fact, the pegs on the hands slide in very nicely, to the point where sometimes they pop out if I'm posing the hands too much!

I noticed though the end of the hands have a tab, and it matches up with a notch in the opening in the wrist. when I line them up, there no problem.

The only reason I can see why the belt is weathered is because in the cartoon it was a darker shade than the rest of his armor.
