That sucks Cowboy. Have you tried carefully gluing it back in place? I know this new body uses brittle plastic, so the wrist and ankle pegs break rather easily. I'm still waiting on a reply from Sideshow Customer Service about wrist peg replacement. I think the fragility also has to do the way the pegs are bifurcated at the ends.

Uh...maybe, just maybe, it has to do with the weight of the entire figure and the impact force focusing on the point that touched the ground first. The plastic used is hardly as "brittle" as you make it out to be considering there are other high-end 1:6 companies that use even cheaper plastics. Additionally, the issue you had with the wrists is most likely a case of you trying to force them without realizing that they need to be turned a specific way before they can be removed.

ive been reading through the post and i have to say i must have gotten one of the flawless obi, mine doesnt have a single loose joint, paint is great and it doesnt feel the least bit brittle, i really cant wait for sideshow to expand on the original clonewars figures,

-ep2 ver. of anakin would be great to go with this
-Alpha (NOT REX!) lol
-mace in some sort of amor,
- and an articulated Yoda would just rule what do you guys think?

Umm, nope. I am hearing more and more about this issue. My own broke as well, and it didn't fall far.

I am not surprised by this issue, though as all of my Hot Toys suffer the same problem.

Still a great figure, I will just be more careful. Just like I am with my Medicoms and Hot Toys.

Edit - I do have to give the Buck credit here, though. I never had a Buck break on me. Even when I had to jack the hell out of the elbows because they got glued together.

One of my wrist pegs broke, and all I did was touch it. No force applied whatsoever. Still fits into the wrist, and it's holding there tight enough to stay, but it was still ridiculously fragile.

What's with the assumptions dude? The hand's wrist peg was already missing one of its branches when it was still in the blister packaging.

This figure's Photo Archive entry is up:

GENERAL OBI-WAN KENOBI

Got my replacement from Sideshow last night. I am even more stoked than I was the first time I got the figure! Now the joints are tighter as well (loose joints are why the figure fell and broke in the first place, I think, but can't confirm that because I was looking the other way!

Now I wish I had the talent to weather the fgiures as some here have. I may take a class to learn to do that!

Yeah, but I figured someone had to be a ^^^^ and point it out :lol And really, since he's an EU creation whose to say he wouldn't spin that amor around :lecture

Functionally, it would work better too as it would give the back of your arm more protection and backwards, you wouldn't have the flat, longer piece biting into your forearm.

got mine today, wont stay in one peiece for long so expect a custom clone soon, so heres a pics of him prior to being chopped up...with 'real world Rex custom'

Great shot Hurricane! I'm diggin' on the Rex!

Here is a shot of the gang...still haven't decided on how I want to display them. I am hoping for the Blue and Green clones sometime (soon, preferably).

Be very interested to see what you'll do. I will be carefully monitoring ebay.co.uk for one for a Hurricane upgrade.

Picked up a couple of Helmet casts from Katkuru. So thanks for those. Makes me think SS should have includes a helmet for the General.
