Is that a moulded arm I can see?

Looks like Same forearm as the True type advance, and albert wesker to me.

Do you guys who buy multiple of the same figures just to sell? Or do you really get them to to display? I assume most who buy 2 for example do so such that they can display and futz one with the peace of mind that they have another MISB one as backup ? Nothing wrong with either, I'm just curious.

Just one thanks.

It's a shame some people abuse things though. I've never cancelled an order.

I think it's a combination of faults, some Sideshow and some customers. When I read about SSC cancellations here, often it's because Sideshow gets in like half a dozen items at once. They should realize a large part of their customer base gets a number of their products and needs releases spread out more. Sideshow seems to have like a quarterly slew of shipping instead of stuff more spread throughout the year. People have full intention of getting the htings when they place the order but don't think about being able to buy all of them in 1-2 weeks time.

It hasn't, I just plan on finding a way to use the old HT hat with it. I've got Jack on order, I've been waiting since the DX line started for him to get made, he is the perfect character for a posable eye system, even more than Ledger Joker, I can't think of another figure that can take advantage of it. That and loving Jack so much as a character, it's just nice to have a sculpt and paint job up to today's quality, especially with the dirtying effects HT gets now. The old ones, I applaud the effort but they basically just gave him a darker skin tone which really isn't true. Sure Johnny was tanned from being in the sun so much, but most of sparrows skin color comes from dirt and things. Plus HT went a bit dark with the skin on the old ones too. For some reason they went through a period when the POTC figures and some other releases of that time came out where skin tones weren't really like real people skin colors, they were more realistic than the earliest HT figures, but it was a growth period. Like their Rambos that came out at that time, nice figures, but the skin color really isn't like Stallone or any person really. Today's figures are great, the flesh tones are true to each person as they should be and the realism is fantastic. I love the dirt on Jack, you can really see it around his cheeks.

Ive been waiting for Jack since the DX line started as well. I agree the number one character to benefit from the PERS. Another character Id love to see get a DX with PERS is a Bela Lugosi Dracula! :hi5:

I liked all three movies, so i'm not concerned about liking the 4th :)

I'm right with you on that one! I loved all three movies. But I've been a fan of the ride since I was a kid. I remember watching the first movie and seeing a lot of the scenes that they added right from the ride which was a real treat. :clap

I nearly crapped my pants when in AWE right as it goes dark before showing Jack's Nose in Davy Jones Locker, I heard the use of the original audio from the ride. "Dead Men Tell No Tales". It gives me chills just thinking of it.

I hear exactly what you're saying.
I still think the hands could use a little more 'dirt' as well.
Too smooth looking.

Funny thing is, I'm more of an Indiana Jones movie fan but this figure I find more appealing than the DX05 Indy. In my eyes, it's that good.

:lol I love that I'm not a big enough fan of anything to be bothered by screen-accuracy details.
LOL! Yeah, I could see how that would sound. :lol
I meant no harm, but just calling it like it is.
I haven't even seen anything beyond the first POTC, but this figure will change all that. :clap

I agrre the hands look a little too clean but it doesn't hurt the whole look for me, the hat looks like hew's wearing an oversiezed joke hat to me.

I know some like Indy but to me, the proto Indy looks almost like and HT figure from 5 years ago, their quality today doesn't show beyond his paint, Jack looks on par with all of HT's current figures beside Indy.

I really do believe when the DX05 Indy hits retailers and every one sees how absoluting amazing it is going to come out every one will be signing a highly different tune. The proto pics show problems, but Id put $$ on the fact that the final product will wow.

Hard to say how you'll feel, some people really hate the series beyond the first, others like me enjoy them all. I do like 1 most but there's quite a bit I enjoy in 2 and 3 and one constant, I always enjoy Captain Jack.

I'm right there with ya.

The classical Universal movie monsters in DX treatment by Hot Toys would be a dream come true for me.

In addition to Bela as Dracula:

Boris Karloff -- Frankenstein (1931); The Mummy (1932).
Lon Chaney Jr. -- The Wolf Man (1941).
Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954).

I like the first best, but I really enjoy Davy Jones character and story arc. And I like the final fight between Jack and Jones at the end of AWE.

Over all Ive enjoyed all of the films and the forth is looking to be just as enjoyable for me.

Oh yeah, I know. Id like all of them as well. But what better way to start out the line than to do a DX Bela Dracula!?:hi5::hi5:

I hope so.

A HT Indiana Jones has been my most wanted figure in a LONG time. So Ive been pretty happy with what Ive already seen. But, I think he might be one of those additions that people will wish they had picked up but didnt. SO Id rather be safe than sorry.

It not like people cant turn around and sell him for profit later on anyways if they change their minds. :dunno

I believe that too, but maybe it's a belief founded simply on the call that HT couldn't possibly release an Indy as bad as shown in the proto pics.
Perhaps they could possibly release an Indy as bad as shown in the proto pics?

If it came down to a hard and fast choice between an awesome JS and an equally awesome Indy, I don't know which way I'd swing.

Got Dead Man's Chest with me now, but don't know when I'll have time to sit down and watch.

Davy Jones is a great character, and a great HT figure. I know some people are really bothered by the figure's height but I just find it such a great looking figure I can look past his height relative to other figures.

Im getting the HT Davy, but I was looking at (and the reason I asked) about the Koto version was I want that base, to put my HT Davy on. Itll kind of hide his height issue that way. :)

I think one thing besides the hat being removable that's making it so big looking is that fact that it's actually made out of a leather like material. not too sure, but that's my hunch. But I like the way it looks and the more authentic look it will have not being sculpted but out of actual material just like the boots being that suede like material or whatever it's made out of

I was going to say how much I like Davy Jones in 2 and 3 but then...

^^ yep that pretty much says it for me. Davy Jones is the main reason I like 2 and 3 besides of course Jack. Character is great and love the overall darker feel he gives to those movies.

For me he's still one of HT's most impressive figures they've ever done so I don't notice the height, they just really captured his design so nicely, so much detail, he even looks wet.
