That's my advice too.

You could start selling plasma now and by the time Sparrow comes out you should be covered.

But if one had to choose I would go with Sparrow, it would be a tough choice though.

Id say go with the DX Sparrow. There will always be more Iron Man figures. Theres still Iron Man III and the Avengers movie which Iron Man will be in.

This will most likely be the only DX Sparrow.

In my experience, BBTS seems cheaper than SSC in terms of shipping, particularly if you are using a "Pile of Loot" and ship a lot together. But I live in Louisiana. You can get a BBTS estimate with a similarly sized item on their site, and e-mail Sideshow to give you an estimate for items that are in-stock I believe.

Man...I'm in a real fixed... Which should i get Mark vi or jack sparrow? Mind u.. I haven't got any iron mans or jack sparrows. This will be my first hot toys in almost 3 years.

Yeah, and a decent part of that cost is actually the value for insurance coverage and delivery confirmation. One you get past $100 value, the cost plus delivery confirmation can increase the shipping cost by almost $3 to most places, then another bump again at $300 and every hundred thereafter.

USA retailers (authorized SSC retailers) can ONLY sell the Exclusive Version (with the long telescope) to USA customers. We can ONLY ship the non-exclusive (no long telescope) version internationally.

I couldn't really say, as I'm not familiar with the actual costs for either company. I only know what I have to pay to add a higher value and delivery confirmation (to protect both us and you) on a high-ticket item on my end. Most companies pay different UPS rate depending upon how much they ship.

Authorized US sellers WILL be getting the version that contains the long telescope via Sideshow. Confirmed it this morning.

On the other hand, if you're planning on buying from a Chinese eBay seller, you may not be getting the extra piece as it is exclusive for USA and Japan distribution only.

Do you guys who buy multiple of the same figures just to sell? Or do you really get them to to display? I assume most who buy 2 for example do so such that they can display and futz one with the peace of mind that they have another MISB one as backup ? Nothing wrong with either, I'm just curious.

I'm getting two because I missed out on the first two Sparrow's and now I'm gonna do a little bit of catch up. Displaying both and I'm pondering getting a third to just sit MIB.....

That's possibly why they are doing this... To lower the quantity the Asian market sellers are sending to the US, which bypass the US license holder. Just a guess though.
