That was a guess I made based on past figures. In the past it seems that if they are going to change a sculpt they just show a different head later, but when licensing has been in question they have fuzzed out the face. The Downey heads were fuzzed and it was a likeness issue. So I made a guess.

That makes sense.

I'm not terribly bothered, either way. Unless the sculpt is changed and is AMAZING, I'll be displaying the standard sculpt.

got my pre-order in at AE. Can't wait. never ordered from them before but I like the rewards points thing and they seem to have some good Customer Service, but I still got love for CSC :1-1:

Yeah, I'm going with CSC. One, because they take Paypal (get on the ball, SS!), and two because I've had a few very good experiences with them. Both in orders as well as great customer service (both on their site and PMs on here).

I wish they had a rewards / points system, but oh well. Just a small ding for them.

I've never had a issue with AE. Josh over there is always very helpful and quick to reply on emails. The packaging is always in great shape when I receive it and another thing is their prices are always some of the lowest of the online retailers.

Can't wait till they reveal the smiling head :impatient:

Also, what exactly is he doing here?

Best guess right now is that hand is meant to hold things up, but, in the latest OST trailer

There's a shot of Jack watching water droplets move around on his hand, I don't know if this hand might be OST specific and have some effect we can't see.

Though it seems more like how he holds his hand like when he shakes the coin bag at Port Royal in Curse to steal the money.

You won't be disappointed my friend, AE is tops and I order everything that I can through them.

In fact, saved $10 on this figure with points.

Now the waiting game....:impatient:

Josh was indeed very helpful in answering my questions promptly and thoroughly, which was one of the main selling points for me to buy from them this go around

glad to hear such great things about AE. Always a little shaky when changing who you buy from. And yea I hope to start being able to save some points up to use on future purchases like Sweeney Todd :yess:

I still haven't placed a pre-order yet but I'm leaning towards flex-pay with SS. I've already got the Tracker predator pre-ordered and it is due to arrive at more or less the same time, so the flex-pay will help with the financial hit.

I remember picking up Iron Man Mark I but not buying it cause I had the maquette already. It was $150 bucks......Now it sells for $600....

I have a strong feeling that it will also happen to this Jack Sparrow. It has so many accessories and that big wheel is great. His tailoring and likeness is the best so far...

Yeah....I'm not going to pass on this one.....

My first HT....

But with the Mk.1 you have Iron Man completists who need a MK1 for their hall of armor and realise its unlikely to play any part in a sequel, so while we are getting two more Iron Man movie appearances in Avengers and IM3 which will result in, if the previous two have been any indication, at least another 3-5 suits, none of them are likely to be a Mk.1 ever again.

This is the second or third Jack in this outfit in 1/6 scale if I'm not mistaken. And 2 more pirates movies coming, with little chance of a drastic change to Jack's costume.

While I agree with you for the most part, but if HT wants to call this the ULTIMATE Jack Sparrow, they need to include EVERY LITTLE TRADEMARK, hence the inclusion of both the tattoo and the "P" branding.

Im getting two of these guys and I plan on displaying one with the coat and one without. Worst case scenario, HT doesnt add it, Ill just add it myself. :chew

My thoughts on this exactly.

And who knows if the rest of the tattoos from AWE are actually part of the character, because on the different versions of Captain Jack, there were different tattoos.

But we do know for certain that his arm tattoo is real, and was a focal point in a scence in Curse, and visible in DMC and AWE.
It was more important than either of the 'scopes that everyone's making such a fuss about.
And it was important enough that Johnny Depp got it tattooed himself, farther up his arm and facing towards him after the first movie (which you can see in the sequels).

So, should I think it should be on the figure? Uh, yeah.
And the "P" brand as well, since it was a pretty important aspect as well.
I really don't think it's such a far off idea.

Can't stop looking at the pics... think he just jumped to my #1 spot for the entire year.

Two is mandatory for me... contemplating a third...!!

It's been over two years (and 47,000+ transactions) since that happened, but it's nice that someone always thinks to bring it up again. :wink1:
