And is this Medi or EB?

If it's Medi, it will be a midget.

It's the Ultimate Unison which is EB+Medi, them working together.

As for the size, the new Medi figures are on a taller body and pretty in scale with HT and SS. Look at the New Medi Boba and Jango Fett thread in the SW Forum and you'll see :)

'Bout time. :)

Thanks, but no thanks. I want Johnny Depp Captain Jack Sparrow (DX), not cosplayer wanna be Captain Jack Sparrow. ;)

I've actually seen the movie yesterday (great film with many gags, can't understand the hate for it), and of course noticed the tatoo. And the surprising muscular back that jack has :-D

What tatoo did depp actually tattooed on himself?

The word is that they are tougher. I love my Boba Fett. Just looks like a guy in a suit. The proportions are better too. He doesn't have the epically long leg syndrome of HT's figures.

yea many ppl have done quite a few mods to their Medi Boba and has yet to break for them. word is that the plastic used for the bodies is much better and more durable. I believe my Medi Bruce Wayne is on that new body as he's as tall as a HT figure and has nice tight joints and withstood a constant change in pose for all the time I've had him

Wait till we see full body pictures and a list of accessories before you criticize something especially when all we've got is a random single shopped photo with an overly creepy background that completely influences how you look at the figure.

I agree with this, but in all fairness when looking at the previous UU Luke Skywalker figure one can only speculate that the UU Jack Sparrow will fall in the same boat of lack of accessories. UU Luke only comes with a light-up lightsaber, no poncho, rifle or any of the other accessories that SS 1/6 Luke came with and they're charging $300 not including shipping. And although the UU Jack looks better than the Luke so far, that may just mean an even higher price due to it's more elaborate costume. It's all specualtion of course, but I think it's fair speculation judging by both Medi and the UU track record so far. Especially since the UU Jack Sparrow Teaser says "Produced By Medicom Toy...Distributed by Enterbay." Maybe Medicom will surprise us with this one, but Medicom is known for their very little, if any, accessories

The Fett Medis are probably the best product I've seen them make. That's not a consolation prize either, like "best of a crappy bunch", Fett looks legitimately awesome.

I was very tempted to pick him up, but starting one one SW figure seems like a VERY slippery slope.

Regardless of other HT figures with tats, the first Medi-Sparrow had his arm tat, HT can't fall short of Medicom again.

I guess that's a sparrow, right? Did he had it before or he made it after the movie, 'cause he liked his character so much?

I never favor one manufacturer over another. In my opinion, that's just childish.

I'm glad to see that Medi/EB is making a Jack Sparrow just like Hot Toys.
The competition will be great for the consumer in the long run.

Now on to the figure...

I believe I read somewhere that the Medi/EB Jack will have a bandanna made of a fabric instead of being sculpted.
Also, the beads falling out from the top of it will actually be individual beads threaded through a string instead of being sculpted.

I don't know if that's true, but I do like that extra attention to details.

I do not, however, like that creepy smirk on his face. Probably not the best expression to represent the Jack Sparrow character as a whole.

I actually plan on getting both if i can... these coupled with Hot Toys first two releases would mean that I have a Jack Sparrow for every mood!
