But that is why they are discounted. Most of there stuff is stock off the shelves, same as the discount sections at stores, there might be dents and dings, but you can save some $$$.
There is an Iron Man Mk.IV there now, priced more than what I paid for mine new.

I really don't think it's a 'New' item.

But I'm not doubting what you are saying. Like I said, I know only what I've read from what others have posted and it sure sounds shady.

I love on Gohastings that they have the HT King Leonidas picture for the Beserker predator...I always laugh lol
Yes, I've noticed that one for what must be months now. :lol

In the Berserker thread, one of the members here went ahead and placed an order. He got the correct figure (despite the wrong picture for the item) but he suspected that it was previously opened. Something to the extent that it wasn't in it's box correctly. I can't remember the exact details.

Yea it is way too sketchy of a website to buy from for me...thank God for toys2

I've never purchased from bbts myself.
How do they ship their figures? What I'd like to know specifically is, do they ship using the Hot Toys outer brown shipping box or do they take that and put it into another shipping box?

I've only ever had multiple figures shipped from BBTS - they ship the figure box without the HT shipper box but packed with loads of protective bubble wrap inside a bigger box. Excellent packing, there's no way the figure boxes would be damaged during a normal shipment.

I have heard from a few people that Sideshow's packing leaves a lot to be desired. I'm getting my first figure from them this month, and if it wasn't a DX exclusive I wouldn't be worried about a ding or two in the box, but as it is... I hope I get it in mint condition.

I've always had good customer service and shipping service from GoHastings. I've ordered from them a lot and there was good amount of bubble wrap in mine. But the figure boxes I must complain about as mine are usually torn even if it's like half an inch, the boxes I've gotten tend to have a tear somewhere on them. but like Evil said, with the good discount they give lots of times, it eases the pain a bit of that wee tear in the packaging

Would love to see that. :yess:

Haha, I will definitely post pics then!
I'm just sad because I wish Bruce came with 2 pairs of the normal pants, because I don't care so much for the black jumpsuit. But how cool is that mirror backdrop going to look on a detolf?
I'm pretty pumped.

And Jumpstreet was SOOOO awesome.

BBTS has pretty nice packaging. I've ordered a ton of stuff from them before, and never once had a problem. Their customer service is top-notch, they've replaced stuff for me before, and even though it's against their policy, they've refunded money on canceled orders back on my card for me, instead of keeping it as store credit.

I think you guys convinced me to go with Corner Store Comics this time around. I was going to go with Sideshow, but CSC is cheaper and seems to package their stuff much better not to mention it still comes with the awesome telescope :wink1:. How much longer is the wait from them in comparison to Sideshow?

From what I've experienced, they usually get them 1 to 3 days after Sideshow. :)

I don't see the problem with it. I mean it is a SHIPPER box after all. I get 99% of my stuff from Sideshow directly and it all arrives just fine. :dunno

Fingers crossed...my first purchase from SS directly...hope the box doesn't get raped in transit

Anybody knows a US online store that sells this with the exclusive long telescope that able to ship overseas?

Cornerstore and Sideshow will not ship the exclusive long telescope outside USA. :(

Only problem is that it supposedly doesn't fit in a Detolf.

Are you getting Jack Sparrow bud? If so, how bummed are you that we don't get the long telescope :( I know its just a telescope but I thought it was pretty funny accessory to have :rotfl

Most likely I will but only when the in-hand pics come out. Don't really care for the telescope myself. You getting it ?

Yep, got my pre-order in at toys2. Once I see the in-hand pics then I might pick up a 2nd just for an alternate display option... I'll probably just get the telescope off toyanxiety or ebay...it isn't a big deal to me either but it'd just be fun to display. I'm looking forward to the other Johnny Depp licenses as well- Sweeney Todd, and hopefully some more!

We are usually one day after arrival at SSC, due to our proximity to their shipping center, less than 30 miles away. (Not to be confused with when SSC starts processing orders, which is often a few days before the actual arrival on larger releases, so they can start shipping as soon as they receive them.)

We are one of the very first places to receive their new stuff about 99% of the time, sometimes by 4 days to a week or more sooner than most other US sellers.

And thanks for the kudos on the packing! We REALLY do try to pack things as best we can. All HT figures go out in the brown shipper repacked into a larger box with new, high-quality packing materials, whenever possible. ALTHOUGH, there ARE occasionally a few pieces that will come in without shipper boxes from SSC, but we will try to move those into the retail store inventory when possible so we can use the shippers for web customers.

Where it gets tricky is overseas shipping. We can usually easily do two HT's in one box with really good extra packing. Three pieces gets really tight for some country's size restrictions, but we'll do it as long as the customer acknowledges the added risks of minimal packing material.
