I agree...have not been a fan of the TT in super-tight clothes. I'll likely stick with the Pro and futz him, possibly trim the visor. My money's on it being glued at the ears.

I plan on just sticking with the pro as well. Has the guy at Monkey Depot addressed any looseness issues with the pro?

Well to me it looks like Hot Toys wouldn't have done any better than SSC unless they put a special muscled body under the suit. The Pro looks better than the TT, IMO. I think Snakes is just one of those figures that is extremely hard to pull off in 1/6 scale on ANY base body. I think he'll look awesome on a futz'd Pro and I'm glad I won't be tempted to shell out extra cash for a body swap.

It IS disappointing that SSC didn't follow through on their promise to include the tattoo on his forearm, however.

what about medi's modified body? like comic spiderman and similar. They look pretty good in tight outfit. probably would look pretty close to the cartoon and comic proportions as well.

The only thing that bugs me on the final figure is the huge visor. The protoype looked fine so I don't know what happened. Its like it has one stripe too many. Take out one of them and it would look just fine.

the TT doesnt really look good under tight clothing. i've tried it on figures. the shoulders look too damn huge in some poses. although it didn't look bad in those swapped photos. i'll probably just pad up the arms with cotton or something to make it look better. it's much cheaper and easier than trying to mod a TT body.

The muscled body would've sucked. Not even remotely poseable and I think the awkward joints, when flexed, would've been even more distorted by the shirt itself. Besides, it would've been a pain in the ass to get that shirt over the body anyway. I actually think Evil's idea of a Commando sweater is a great idea:

Finding one in 1:6 and a black one at that, will be a pain in the ass though.

The new Arnold muscle body might look good under the skin-tight outfit as well.

Not only is it not worth paying an extra $150 nor ripping apart a perfectly good Dutch figure for Snake Eyes, again, you'll run into the problem of getting that shirt over the rubber body.

No thank you. Medicom's body isn't all that much less awkward in spandex, the proportions are too "comicy" and I don't want to have to worry about the high breakability factor that's notorious with Medi's cheap plastic bodies. Again, I think EvilFace was on to something when he mentioned the sweater. The OG Snake Eyes wore one and it'd fix both the Pro and the TT with decent padding.

Now with a small loss of hours at the casino where I work, I may have to cancel SE. Will hang onto my order for CC Exc however. Maybe I can pick up a SE later on for a bit less. Seems like some will be ditching him anyway.

Damn, I really wanted to have a complete line on this...

:(

I've learned when it comes to Sideshow it's wise to reserve judment until I have the actual product in hand, and get a chance to play around with it a bit. More often than not, the product looks a lot better in person.

Yep, I agree.

Skipped about 10 pages of posts... but the figure looks okay. I'm not gonna get too worried until I have him in hand.

I think the Snake Eyes product page has two more new photos without the "globe" background.
Sideshow might be listening to us since they're lit more like the prototype pictures, and one is holding up the gun in a less sissy-like pose.

If I had my wish they would have done the 1985 version of Snake Eyes, were he wore the ninja body suit. After seeing the way the Pro looks in tight clothing, Snake Eyes probably would not have looked all that appealing.
The Pro looks very thin, very poseable and under a military uniform like COBRA Commander it would translate well. With a muscular character like Snake Eyes a more muscular body would be my choice. Previously Dragon Models was brought up and I would like to see what the SSC gear would look like on one of their football player bodies. I think the HT Dutch or even the Rambo body might be too muscular for this character, but the Dragon USC body might be just what the doctor ordered.
The tight shirt/baggy pants Tim Bradstreet look that they used IMO just doesn't look quite right. I'd like to see this figure and all of the gear, and the gear is great, on say the Kroenen outfit. I do see potential with this figure.
