Well congrats on receiving it and not fainting. Now I expect a Captain Faramir quality post to follow with all your thoughts on this long sought piece of yours.

I will, with pictures! Oh man, I need to summon up the energy first. Should I use green font?

I'd go with a pallete of colors to match Jack's cannibal makeup, yellows, blues, reds, greens.

No, you must find your own voice. The trick is to write everything in the manner which most exactly describes your feelings - be honest, and then detail every thought and feeling you have in the most positive, kindly way possible. Use precise and articulate language, and lots of it. Most of all, don't stop writing until you are sure there is nothing else you have to say, even if it takes five full paragraphs and reads like an entry in the encyclopedia. The people will moan, but your soul will be satisfied. That is how you create a true Captain Faramir post - only then will you follow in my footsteps.

Oh, and people will look over it without reading anything. Just to let you know. :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I have a question about the Hot Toys Davy Jones figure.
Does the key to the Dead Mans chest fit under his face tentacles or no?
That would be sweet.

It might, but it's SO small, I wouldn't recommend it, best bet is to seal it up in the chest with the heart.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

That's just downright mean, but probably the truth. hehe

I'll have to take snaps of my Cannibal Jack when I open him out of his box later tonight. Then I'll make a mini review.

Eh, I'm used to it by now. At this point I'm lucky if people even read my posts, much less reply to them. And honestly, I can't get upset if people don't wanna read that much; just because I love to write it doesn't mean you'll love to read it.

I'm excited to read your thoughts though! I'm so glad you finally got him - especially after the Hobbits arrived, I thought "man, poor Eli is still waiting!" I'm way stoked to read your review.

i trust you ripped off his smiling head within 1 minute of opening and slapped on that much better cannibal head.

I agree! Can head is better, but smiling head is better than V1 Jack head (which is why I have replaced V1 Jack with a smile)!

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I think the reason both heads supersede the original is because Jack was never a stern, serious action hero - he was a lunatic pirate who got by on his uncanny luck and his incredible wit - he was crazy, but clever too. The original head doesn't reflect any of that; the newer ones do.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

i like the V1 sculpt. he looks kinda "out of it" like he was tipping back on some good ol' fashioned rum.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

It's not the serious expression that was the problem for me, it's two things: 01) he looks out of it (kind of high, actually), as The Craw said, and especially 02) the skin was way too dark on mine.
