The line is dead. With the DX announcement, they may revisit it. Maulfan is keen on a DX Jack. Maybe they could do a Barbosa under that guise too.

I just got into the line and I think for all but Sao Feng the line did pretty well because I did have a little bit of trouble finding everything else. I know the line is dead for now, but I'm hopeful that the 4th movie (which has been confirmed) will revitalize the franchise and give Hot Toys reason to come back and give us a Barbosa.

The 4th movie is at least 2 years off, so in the meantime I would also say that it is likely for Hot Toys to give us a DX Sparrow if they're planning to revisit old characters with the new DX series. Jack will always be an easy seller.

Is this line "on hold" or what. Where the hell is barbosa?

Line is on hold, HT commented a few months ago when asked about it that they had no plans to revisit POTC in the coming future.

The only hope for original POTC guys to get their chance is if HT still has the license for the first 3 films and decides to cash in on hype for the 4th by putting out figures from the first 3 to lead up to part 4, but that's some time away.

I don't need a DX Jack, I'm happy with the Cannibal and smiling face I display on both my Jacks. I know if they did make one though, I would get it. A DX Barbossa would be a definite for me, but I don't think HT every got the license to do him (wasn't that the whole reason they never did a Barbossa).

dosn't work that way AFAIK. they get a film liscense, then they've got the rights to do every char. if they can't get the actor likeness rights, then we get a figure like the Aliens Marines, or Kane.
for whatever reason, hot toys CHOSE NOT TO MAKE Barbosa

Searching ebay for AGES... found me a Cannibal Jack! He's sailing over to the UK as we speak Oh YEAH! . I nearly didnt get him but because the line seems like it has ended I thought I'd better pic him up. Now I just need Iron Man, DX Joker, DX Bats, Medicom Bats...Man my wallet is gonna hurt

I was able to get Cannibal Jack through Sideshow just a few weeks ago, I see they're sold out now though. V1 Jack was really hard to find, I got him through a trade.

Yes, he is a great figure!

The V1 Sparrow and Davy Jones are also amazing figures
