Undeniably the Sparrow portraits in the Cannibal set are more fitting, though the AWE still has a good Depp likeness, just a bit of a stern expression for Sparrow.

For me, if it had to be either or, I would get the AWE because I'm a Sparrow fan and the hat and coat are key to the whole look.

If possible, I'd get the Cannibal and acquire the coat and hat separately through ebay or something.

Isnt Kojun working for HT now??

Kojun's Jack is still the best out there IMO. I hope HT uses Kojun's Jack if they're planning to re-release Jack Sparrow.

Yeah, Kojun Sparrow would be nice. Yulli's good, but Depp, other than the cannibal head, isn't her best stuff, and Kojun did better at giving a very subtle smirk, his Sparrow has just a slight smirk, enough to have that cockiness to the face, but not a full on smile like Yulli's smiling sculpt.

Hopefulyl Kojun could get them to do the right color for the coat, though his custom isn't right either.

are the clothes on the AWE jack under his coat exactly the same as the cannibal jack does nayone know? is his vest as blue as cannibal jacks?

The only difference I noticed, and it could even just be a production variation, my Cannibal Jack's boots are slightly lighter brown than my AWE, which they should be. I see no difference in any of the rest of his clothing at all, which again, means the boots could be a fluke and even some AWE's might have come out lighter than mine, I know that among the AWE's, some had darker skin tone t han others.

I don't think it's possible to hunt one down, and they're so rare and in such demand, you'll end up spending enough to buy a car probably to get one.

Best hope is a Hot Toys MMSDX Jack Sparrow with Kojun sculpt and accurrate clothing.

COTBP style, nice!

Looks like you're missing a button on the vest. I hate that about these Jack Sparrow figures. I've had the HT and Medicom ones and both had buttons fall off the costume. If HT makes a DX version I hope they figure out a way of keeping the damn buttons on.

Trouble is, they use these buttons that look nice in scale, but they're just glue on and can come off easily. Fortunately, the only one missing on HT for me is one of the pockets on Jack's coat so you don't notice it much and hopefully a DX version will come with a better coat anyway, if they do it.

Looks great! That is the Medicom sash, right?

Sounds like the buttons fall off very easily on these. One of the buttons on my Jack's scabbard fell off. Luckily I was able to find it, so I can glue it back on eventually.

yeah i removed it completely and rolled it and twisted it and scrumpled it up as much as i could then once i wrapped it around him and tied it i took some scissors and made the ends all jagged

Take a button off the vest lower down under the sash and put it where the other one was. You won't miss it then.
