Not odd at all, many of us have done so. The slim body, once you put all Jack's costuming on, is much better at making a figure look like Depp than even a narrow would be. If you watch his shoulders in the movie with the wig on, you barely see them showing, it puffs out so much and Johnns'y not super broad shouldered, the Slim allows you to make the figures have that same look, I'm so glad HT sold it as a base body to snag.

I really hope POTC4 brings us a Barbossa, I can't believe they never made him yet we have us a Will and Elizabeth. Favorite character. Hopefully his look is not totally different to where I wouldnt want him, looking for his iconic look.

Man when/if they make Barbossa it's gonna be so good. Not only his outfit, but I hope they nail the sculpt because it's gonna be such an interesting sculpt to look at.
In just looking at my recent Whiplash figure and just seeing how believably grizzled and haggard they made him appear gives me a lot of faith in HT delivering a stunning sculpt
Can't bloody wait.

The only thing I am hoping for is a DX Jack with PERS and a Barbosa. If im gonna buy Blackbeard or Cruz the fourth movie needs to be good.

Ian McShane is one of my favorite actors!! He's amazing in Deadwood, and if he takes just a bit of his Al Swearengen character into Blackbeard, then we could get an awesome and interesting new pirate!!!

Very much agreed. I think I like Ian Mcshane enough to get his figure regardless.
Ian McShane is one of my favorite actors!! He's amazing in Deadwood, and if he takes just a bit of his Al Swearengen character into Blackbeard, then we could get an awesome and interesting new pirate!!!

Yeah, the one I had was awful as far as skin tone goes. Actually, all the pirates figures I had from AWE was really bad. HT has gotten even better since then so I would be interested to see them go at these again.
Not to mention the amazing paint apps that they are doing nowadays, as opposed to the George Hamilton-like deep tan that my Cannibal Jack had...

Now that Kojun is with HT the Depp heads should be off the hook. If they wanted, they could just use the one he has already made for a new Sparrow. It might need some aging but that's about it.

I'm sure even Yulli could do better than before, the POTC figures are like 3 years old, she's come along way too. The Cannibal head is actually great, not the best expression to sum up Jack but really captures Depp, the smiling one's pretty good too but for it being smiling and less of a smirk, the only edge I'd really give Kojun is that he captured a smirk rather than a smile.
