I'm very close to being forced to get Jack... and with Davy looking so sweet I may need that one as well. I wanted to just stick to Star Wars stuff but my love of pirates (from being a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan) is starting to overtake me.

You certainly won't regret it, they're great figures.

My suggestion, if you're trying to be limited in what you get from this line would be this.

If you want Davy and Jack, I'd either get the first Jack Sparrow figure which includes his coat and hat, or I'd get teh second Jack Sparrow and snag his coat and hat off eBay if the price is right. I think the best display would be Jack fighting Davy like in AWE, but having his coat and hat really complete that look to be true to the film.

the problem with this line is once you get 1 fig it is so damn impressive that you want more. but they are a little spendy. i didnt want a sao feng fig but now that ive seen the others that are coming out im kinda having second thoughts. these figures are coming out kinda fast though. dont know if the wallet can keep up. if only LOTR figures were released like this then id be a happy collector.

Thanks for the tips Maul. I mainly would stick to the actual "Pirate" looking figs so that would kind of rule out Sao and Will and Elizabeth... but who knows in the future.

i think sideshow just ordered less because they haven't sold out the V1 sparrow and the swann figs.

Probably did...they still seem to have a lot in-stock so it's no surprise that they would've got a smaller stock from Hot Toys.

They still do have jack 1, seo, and elizabeth so that is probably true.

Well I'm sure some people were on the fence about V1 Jack and Elizabeth because for a time it seemed like this wouldn't necessarily spin into a line of figures, now that it's growing, I think most people have fallen for V2 Jack, so the V1 will warm some shelves, and I know many aren't fans of that particular outfit for Elizabeth, even though it's quality is great, and have passed, especially in hopes of seeing the character revisited in other outfits.

I think so, too. When it was only Sao and Jack and I didn't know they were continuing the line, I wasn't as big a fan. It was seeing Elizabeth and realizing they were going to continue making figures that got me excited. Too often a company only does one or two figures and then stops, and it when it comes to something like Pirates, where there are a ton of cool characters, that disappoints me and only serves to wet my appetite - it doesn't satisfy the hunger.
