Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

I'm wanting one more and more each day! Hmmm, what can I sell to fund one of these guys...

Don't you have a kid? Good money on the black market I hear. And think of all the money you'll save in the long run too! This idea sells itself.

Yeah but I'm thinking if I sold her, I would still need about $200 to buy this thing :lol

I could sell my Dead collection that I just bought back and that would probably get me pretty close, but then I'll be out of the collecting game again. Just have to be patient...

Hmm...maybe it just wasn't meant to be right now. Gaming always rewards the patient anyways. it's the early adopting boneheads like me who always get hosed. Can't help it though.

Honestly there's no game out right now except Uncharted that even has me remotely interested so it's pretty easy for me to not get super excited about. When a good 1st person shooter comes though that's going to all change!

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

So far I've really enjoyed it. The gameplay mechanics are really good and I love being able to adjust my aiming by tilting the system around. Watching videos online just dont do the graphics justice, their almost on par with the PS3 and thats saying a lot. The scary thing is that games usually look a lot better a year or so after launch, but this looks phenominal!

I was actually really surprised that i preferred aiming with the motion control over using the right stick. Nothing wrong with stick aiming, but the gyroscope makes tilt aiming so smooth. The demo was pretty good and the game looks great but could use some anti-aliasing because there are some jagged edges.

I used the Vita's NEAR app and was surprised to find that there were 9 people in my area that had Vita's. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise in SF.

Anyway, the official ps blog put up their 'ultimate' FAQ for Vita, if anyone needs comprehensive info about the system:

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

It seems like there are Vita users out there having problems with wifi, myself included.

Wifi disconnects when idle. I don't know if this is a hidden power save option but I have other problems as well. It doesn't connect to my access point automatically. Additionally when I toggle it to not automatically connect it actually does.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Yeah I really like the game case for the vita another game iwill proboably get is escape plan looks amazing and got great reviews but its a dwonload game only i vowed not to waste space on my memory card downloading games but this is just to good to pass up. I almost wish I got the 16 gb card instead of the 8 but i was being cheap trying to save some money lol.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

I went with a 16g, but Ill probably end up getting another at some point. The prices are just too retarded and Im hoping theyll come down a bit over time. The system is a very reasonable price IMO, but the memory is ridiculous.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

There's a rumor on cheapassgamer that Gamestop will also be offering a B2G1 Free deal, like Target.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Amazon: Buy 2 select Vita games, get 1 free

Target and Gamestop are also running the same sale, though their selection of titles will vary.

It's also worth mentioning that Target is offering a $20 gift card if you pre-ordered a Vita.

I've spent a lot of time on my Vita over the long holiday weekend, and I'm still quite enamored with it. As much as I like Uncharted, it's Hot Shots Golf, Super Stardust and Rayman Origins that really ate my time.

Rayman Origins, particularly, may be the most beautiful 2D game I've ever seen:

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

amazon is doing buy 2 get 1 free but the free game is the cheapest game you have in your cart so you have to pay for uncharted which blows.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Just raised $100 by selling my Odyssey 2-Ball putter. I've got a few more things I plan to try to sell then the Vita should be mine!
