Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Anyone trade in a PSP at Gamestop towards getting a Vita? I know they offer $25 extra bucks towards it but I'm curious as to how much they actually give on a PSP 3000 model?

Judging by how much they give for used 360's probobly $15 bucks.:(

I really wanted a Vita but I keep on talking myself out of it. I just dont go out to many places for me to pick one up and if I am at home and want to play video games I have a PS3 and a 360 for that.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Yeah I figured it may be a rip off. Hence the $25 incentive to trade it. I wasn't really considering it but thought if it was worth it I might.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Just got back and plugged it in for charging. I've already put the trigger grips on it and it feels great:hi5:

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Well I'm quite pissed off. Took the day off work and it did not arrive. Royal Mail postal is a disgrace.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Ouch. That sucks. The days not over. It may still show up.

Nope. Called up the sorting office. Nothing there and the vans are all back. I already have the right to send it back so I'm tempted to go to blockbuster and trade in my 3DS and all the games for one. Its probably been stolen by a pikey postman. That will be the 4th time this year.

Man, that's lousy. :slap

Alright, I've got everything up and running. The PS store was giving me some trouble, but I'm finally able to download demos for Rayman and Unit 13. Those are going to take a minute. Played a quick game of Uncharted...beautiful! I'm so glad I picked up the trigger grips. They feel perfect. This thing is awesome.

I went ahead and got some on the way home today, gotta say it feels really nice and the triggers are really responsive. I played the Unit 13 demo with them and was really happy with the results.

Oh yeah, is anyone else having problems with the Unit 13 demo freezing up? Its done it twice on my and have had to reboot the whole system. Hopefully the final game doesnt have the same issues because I really enjoyed the game when it worked.

Nice, yeah I just played the demo myself and it feels really good. Game only looks ok, but I'm glad to see that a fairly standard shooter layout feels about right. I didnt have any issues with freezing, but I did notice some lagginess here and there. Even on the Rayman start up stuff. Weird. Rayman looks incredible. Absolutely stunning.

Man, Stardust is amazing. Don't overlook this one as a simple shooter. It is a simple shooter in many ways, but it has a style that's hypnotic. Too hypnotic as I get killed while staring at all the pretty things on the screen. This game is a lot of fun and gorgeous to boot.

Just picked this up and love it. I am going to start Uncharted shortly. I didn't know about the trigger grips. Where can I get them?

I got mine a Gamestop, but they're official Sony, so they should be in most stores that carry a good variety.

I might have to return mine. I tried out MVC (awesome BTW) and it kept cutting off on me during the intro. It did it again later when I swapped out games. A mark on an otherwise awesome launch day. Bummer.

Took advantage of the B2G1 free deal:

Between the above, Uncharted, Hot Shots Golf, and a bunch of PSP games, I think I'm good for now, though I still want Rayman Origins sometime.

Re: Playstation Vita (formerly PSP2/NGP - $250)

Well I deleted the Unit 13 demo then redownloaded it to see if that would help but its still doing the same thing. I'll start the level then the sound will go out and then it just freezes up on me. I looked up the problem and it seems others are having the same issues. It really sucks because I was really enjoying the demo. I think I'll just wait and see if the final game has issues.

Yeah the demo froze on me near the end. Never finished it. Hopefully they'll patch it.

I'd like for PSN to put up demos for every game, or at least screen shots and video previews on game/movie pages, which I find oddly lacking, considering PS3's PSN provides those features.
