Yeah technically :lol

It was a thin carpet at the time. I still need to figure out how to fill fiberglass, I was pretty upset as a lot of effort went into repainting and modding my scar bio lol.

I got my Predatormask today....after all I´ve heared here I was thinking it is a thin piece of cheap chinaplastic.
But it isn´t....I would say the facemask is the same quality like the other SS masks.Feels not lightweight and cheap.I also like the overall paintjob.
Only the bulletmarks over the eyes and on the top looks very bad in my eyes...but its an easy fix to make it like on the sideshow prototype.

The stand is more lightweight...thats truth..but not cheap plastic...it weight 2 kg...is hollow but feels not cheap. The only problem is the magnetic seal if you want to put the mask on...the one to hang it on the wall works perfect..but the other one is a little bit tricky. You must put the mask in a diagonal angle on the magnetic point first.

Here is my mask out of the box:

Ok...all I did with the Blastmarks is a wash with Tamiya "flat black" and a fine brush on the naked silver surface areas direct in the blastmarks:

Hey j97...dontcha think that looks good?

Ok...thats right...but the overall mask is nice so the little upgrade is not so hard for me that I would send it back.:wink1:

I'm very surprised you think the base is quality, it isn't, and the way these don't connect is unacceptable. I agree the main mask looked pretty nice though when you don't look too close at the finish.. and ignore the wrong coloured lenses.

The quality is not so good like the older bases from SS because its hollow...but it feels not cheap or unsteady for me.I can only speak for my base.
With the magnetic its really a little bit tricky but mine works...but ok that is really not good.Overall its a really nice P1 mask for me.But that is only my personal taste.

And about the lense:There is space between the mask and the mesh...I think I could put some stuff on the originallense.I don´t wanna cut the Original mask because it is only limited to only 500 pieces. That is very low.

Yeah, with this thing I was really on the fence about sending it back. The display base issues are really unacceptable, not even about it being hollow but the fact that they couldn't be bothered to make sure the masks will stay level and secure. Shame on SS.

The mask itself can really be made to look better with some slight mods, but for an officially licensed replica at that price.. we shouldn't need to make mods.
I'm happy with the look of mine now, but it will always remind me of how much SS just didn't give a crap. Shame..

As I said before, my first and last purchase from SS.
I'll be looking towards Chronicle for future prop replicas.

Put in a return with SSC regarding the wobbly attachment.. You'll receive a credit toward a future purchase.

You can't say it's good then fix the blast marks... Then say how you're going to fix the lens.

For the money you should be able to take out the box and display it, without worrying about it falling off the base.

Most people, myself included, wouldn't dare take a paint brush to a product they've just spent so much money on.
You're able to fix it, I appreciate/respect that, but it doesn't make the product you received good.

Ok,from this point your right. But I´m able to fix it and the price is a lot cheaper as the HCG P1(wich has not a better paintjob).
I became a good club-price for the mask...became the mask 50 Euros(57$) cheaper...so for this money I can make this little upgrades!:wink1:

But I can really understand people like you, who wants to have a perfect replica for the money. But these chinese workers will never paint a perfect paintjob in my eyes.I can see mistakes on the most replicas...not only on sideshows. The Chronicle Replikas are looking nice on the prototype photos..but we must look how they will look out of the box.

There are already pics out there of the final Cain replica, the product customers are actually receiving.

I'm happy to report it looks exactly like the prototype, if not even better. :D

SS is dead to me now.. lol
(Speaking in regards to prop replicas..)

You won't have to.. SS will offer you either a credit or a return.. Choose the credit... They are well aware of the attachment issue and it's a defect which you should receive compensation for...
I have to say..
Not always apparently, they would not offer me a credit at all.. nothing. :/

Guess that's only if you're an international customer?

Either way, the inconsistent customer service seems to match the inconsistent quality control. :(

lousy
