Predator 2: Shadow Predator (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

I use to think HT would redo P2 but I think that might not happen now. This new body is P1 style and really we got this figure because HT did the classic. They only had to sculpt a few new pieces and bam you have this figure. I'm really disappointed with the new head sculpt. The inner mouth looks like a huge fist has punched it in and no way would an actors face fit in there. I hope if HT goes 1/4th we'll get better sculpts. The sculpts should be great for the money you have to pay on these and to me this piece is way over priced. Classic will be nice but the weird inner mouth just kills it for me. I'll have mine with his mask on for sure. I hope HT will also ditch this weird neck they use on these guys. I'd love to see EB take a stab at Predators and Aliens and see what they could do. I think Tsang did a better job on the Predators figures but even those are off but still make great display pieces. I also wish this guy had new feet sculpted. The old P2 feet aren't all that great. I do love the weight and feel of this guy though. I really wish we would do a whole line high end so fans would get the best lost Predator likenesses out there. The likeness on Shadow HT isn't all that great and he doesn't even have the right body. P2 body is way different than P1 especially in the legs. Should be interesting to see what HT will do.

well, until you guys start making better high-end Predator figures, you don't really have much basis to complain about the price tag of HT figures. the cost is based on what the market will bear, and they have zero competition in the high-end market for this license. imagine if someone from Kenner was complaining about the price of NECA Predator figures.

They look great together and no way in any fashion would we get all these in 1/4 and yeah they would look better because sculpting in 1/4 is easier then 1/6.So what its worth we are lucky to have this

People will always buy Hot Toys Preds, whether they are accurate or not as they're the only high end Preds on the market.

Yeah definitely, ha or I am just saying that because I don't own the P2 or the P1. I have feeling we'll see these in 1/4 before re-issued 1/6 versions come out, that's if they ever do come out again that is.
