I'd say my wishful guess is a big no since the new Predator 2 has the same closed mandibles, I'd figure they'd have done open on that one if they were interested in doing so. Probably, they don't want to risk the mandibles breaking off in shipping if they were open, being so small.

Possibly, but I'm guessing they'd want to preserver the visual aesthetic more. Hot Toys works because the pieces are rubbery, so they can make the insert points tigher and the mandible pieces push out, where putting them into a polystone head might result in unsightly seams. For these dios, you're best to either cast the whole head that way or not, I wouldn't mess with interchangeable pieces.

The long delay may favor you, could be some Ex. cancellations with all the new stuff shown off at Comic Con, if you're on the Wait List, could come through.

just got my notice, finally, it's been a long wait.
i already bought the regular one and have had it on display for weeks.
i mite sell or trade my exclusive one, have to wait and see how cool itlooks.

I wonder if the extra head will look noticeably different from the prototype. To my knowledge, this is the longest delay between a regular and exclusive item, I'm curious why such a delay, especially since it may occur again with the P2 dio.
