wow some people really love their predators, i just got a really nasty email ( at my personal email mind you. ) from someone defending their NECA love. even though i already responded to the thread saying "garbage"was the wrong term. either way chill the hell out man. they are figures, and people are allowed to have a preference, and opinions on which they like more. i won't post your email, because i know how ANNOYING it can be to get hate mail from a-holes..

Wow... can you say temper tantrum. I think he should finish his juice box, and "go sleep" himself. Jesus man I feel for ya, some people on here just take there figures way to seriously. It's like they forget that this hobby is supposed to be a release, and that getting really agitated about a toy is just senseless and immature. Also that HT thread link that he posted is nothing more than just senseless hatred toward the HT figure. He compared a bad pic of the Ht classic predator to a good picture of the 12 Neca predator, and most of there comments made them seem ignorant to the fact that HT classic predator is not suppose to be the original 1987 predator, and is in fact the classic predator seen in (2010) Predators. I have owned every version of the P1 and classic predator that has been released, and IMO the classic predator is the best predator figure to date hands down.

Here is a picture of my old 1/4 scale predator which I sold after getting the HT classic predator b/c he just looked like a toy compared to classic. (I fixed the ridiculous gap between his mask)

Now let compare this to a good picture of Classic I'm thinking OMG!!

Now I will concede that the 1/4 scale predator was actually pretty impressive at first, I meen come on it's the largest predator figure ever assembled, but in the end the quality is not even in the same league as hot toys and the articulation in my opinion isn't realy any better than a statue.

amen, I don't think that affordability is the issue for all collectors who prefer neca, but Its definatley the primary issue for most of them IMO. I mean there is a reason you see tons of "NECA hooligans" in the HT threads all the time rantin on about there precious movie accurate sculpt, but you rarely ever see any HT predator collectors talking crap in the Neca predator thread. Once you start collecting HT predators everything else just becomes a toy. I understand most of these guys can't afford to pony up the cash for high end collectibles, and Neca predators are a great cheaper alternative. But when you start ranting about how horrible HT preds are compared to your magnificent Neca predators it just makes me laugh

I realize that Neca vs. hot toys is a debate that has been raging on for quite along time now, and it will likely continue to do so. I just wish we could stop beating a dead horse here, I mean come on we all LOVE predator surely we can find a new and better horse to beat to death.

I can admit that the HT ones are better in terms of details and materials but for me until I get employed I wont be able to buy HT often. For now NECA will have to do. Like I keep saying, for what you pay NECA is quite good.

HT has everything except accuracy in the sculpt.....paint, accessories, poseability, etc..
The reason so many people like NECA's 19 incher is because it LOOKS like the creature in the film. The head is shaped like the creature in the film..it's recognizable. And for many die-hard Predator fans, accuracy is the most important thing to look for.

i respect neca's sculptors, but not neca as a company, they could go high end easy with the talented sculptors they have, but would rather stay low end and cheap. so i have no respect for neca as a company, but i admire and respect tankman very highly.
i wish he worked for ht instead of neca.

I guess I just think it's silly to get obsessed with movie accuracy when it comes to movie creatures based off a man in a costume, and obviously so does hot toys. So if your waiting for hot toys to give you a perfect movie accurate predator don't hold your breath unless you look good in blue. To me HT figures are the embodyment of a real predator and not just some tall dude in a costume. HT does movie accurate figures better than anyone else when it's important such as with human characters or CGI based creatures.

In the end this is all a matter of opinion/taste/money. And those who have figures from both companies will be able to better compare them to decide which they prefer to have. For myself, I have from both, and I definitely prefer the HT figures which I fortunately can afford, and would never choose the Neca ones over those. I like everything in the HT Predators, but dislike some things in the Neca ones. Though I like the 1/4 Neca Predator, I don't find it that special as I find the HT predators. But they all have their good and bad points, and also they're 2 distinct levels in product type, it's like comparing a good city car to a good sports car.

I don't even understand why discuss and fight over this... most of the times it seems like "mine is bigger than yours"...

the ht classic predator looks accurate enough for me, it's from predators movie not predator 1 movie.
i love this figure, it breathes predator, it looks predator, it is a predator, great sculpt. great paint job, great accessories,base,etc.
the best ht predator thus far imo and the only ht predator i want to own ,and do own,until the ht p2 comes out.

It seems like a lot of people in this latest batch are having this problem. I was waiting to order once the retailers had them in stock, but I am definitely having 2nd thoughts now. It's unacceptable on a $200 item and I hope that everyone that wants a replacement gets one that they are happy with.
