Its really funny to me how tough this guy is trying talk. I nevere realized how macho the action figure community was What an idiot. I don't know this guy but I can already tell that if I met him in real life I would destroy him. As for the NECA vs HT issue.. If HT sculpts their Predators accurately, I will burn all of my NECA figures..but they won't. Most likely because they know people will buy them anyway..it's sad.

HT has everything except accuracy in the sculpt.....paint, accessories, poseability, etc..
The reason so many people like NECA's 19 incher is because it LOOKS like the creature in the film. The head is shaped like the creature in the film..it's recognizable. And for many die-hard Predator fans, accuracy is the most important thing to look for.

And it definitely sounds like Selektiv, the fool!
As much as I love the NECA predator, its not perfect either. Its too small for 1/4 scale and the netting, paint, articulation, accessories, box, materials for the belts, loin cloth and wrist blade etc are inferior to HTs.
They balance out IMO and its ALL about opinion. I actually prefer the NECA to HTs P1 simply because I LOVE how accurate the sculpt is, but I completely understand why others like the HTs more.

I just don't get what's the big deal if HT doesnt make their predators to look exactly like the ones on film, it's not like Neca version look more real at all, just their paint job isn't "accurate" they all look like toys, both of them actually HT and Neca look like toys, is just that one cost like $185 more.


I think the main issue with HT is the body proportions, head size for example, Berserker is a clear example of this, the head is just too small to look like the "real" Berserker , but if they made the head as big as the it looks on screen, wouldn't it look too big for his body?

Probably they had the exact on-screen body proportion rigth the first time, but it just looked like one of those cosbaby predators and decided to shrink the head a bit.

yeah I was going to point that out myself. His posts are obviously written to entice re-posting of his messages. The best thing to do is just ignore him. He obviously gets off on the conflict. I've gotten comments on my YouTube videos from different accounts saying the exact same thing. It's just laughable that he's willing to put so much time into something so pointlessly stupid.

I, of course, deleted his YouTube comments -- with a certain satisfaction I might add, because YouTube lets you do that and because nothing pisses a troll off more than not being allowed to speak.

I guess I just think it's silly to get obsessed with movie accuracy when it comes to movie creatures based off a man in a costume, and obviously so does hot toys. So if your waiting for hot toys to give you a perfect movie accurate predator don't hold your breath unless you look good in blue. To me HT figures are the embodyment of a real predator and not just some tall dude in a costume. HT does movie accurate figures better than anyone else when it's important such as with human characters or CGI based creatures.

So basically, what you're saying is..Predators are just latex and aren't important enough to deserve accuracy.

I guess from a ****** point of view it could be interpreted in that way. But I was actually just trying to say that sometimes there are Effects done in movies that are limited by the techniques used to pull them off such as the predators in predator films. I prefer the real things in movies to CGI, and I prefer the predators to remain being a guy in a costume b/c CGI just hasn't quite reached perfection, but when it comes to figures your not limited to a man in a costume. I mean would you expect a BD t800's BD HS to jet out further than arnies face like it did in the film.
