Predators - 1/6th scale Classic Predator Collectible Figure

Yeah you need a place for them. I dont have many so I just got one shelf with my 2 NECA Pred and 1 NECA Alien Warrior. My 18" NECA big chap is on the floor at the mo.
The paint on the prototype Evil Dead looks good so hope the Aliens and Preds look as good.

My thoughts exactly. NECA's not perfect, but they can still do stunning work even at 7". I don't understand why they keep dropping the ball on Terminator, Alien, and Predator. And if paint apps aren't the problem, it's some QC issue instead.

Duke Nukem is perfect in comparison. He has some stray black paint marks on his fingers, but besides those, he's fantastic. The joints work beautifully and he feels like a solid toy with great balance between posing/play value and detailed aesthetics. It's sad they won't continue the line, since I love the games and it appears this is one of those licenses NECA can really knock out of the park. Same thing happened with their Conan. We only got one awesome figure out of that license and that was it.

Yeah I seen pictures of him (yeah they can look even better in person) and even in that it looked great. Shame I aint a huge fan, loved the games when I was younger and the original was out.

I am tempted to get the Freddy and Evil Dead figures.

If you mean the ToyFair ones then I didnt realise they were finals and not prototypes.

Those are prototypes, but there are some packaged shots in the Evil Dead 2 thread as well.

Blade is a much better figure than the Big Chap Alien. You made the right choice.

Just got my Predator today- love this figure! I had a problem, though. The lights on the helmets didn't work. I tried to unscrew the battery compartment, but it wouldn't budge and I was scared Iight strip the screw. I noticed the battery cover isn't flush with the rest of the backpack. I called SS and will be sending them pics to see if I can fix this problem. I just don't feel like I should have any issues when I pull a $200 figure out of the box.

Dont mean to sound rude but....did you remove the plastic strip that goes in the battery compartment?

Thank you kind sir, I actually looked for that plastic strip and yet I did not see it . But after reading your post, I found it . Strange. But led works now!!!

Most items which use battery's have these to stop the battery from getting drained while its been stored away.

Yeah, I remembered to pull the strip out.

I didn't pull the strip out of my Predator's arm and it still lights up. I remember pulling the one out of his back and just looked at his arm. Still there.

I take it this also helps with corrosion? Some people may leave these boxed up forever so smart move.

Just wondering something. Did anyone who ordered their classic from Sideshow get a free Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean cosbaby? Mine came with Blackbeard and Cannibal King Jack Sparrow.

I guess they can't move these things. But they're kind of cool actually.

I love the off-center look, personally. Makes the display more interesting than your standard front-and-center, stand-at-attention deal. To each their own.




It's always been a fantasy of mine to buy an old Colonial Marine figure (preferably Hicks) and update it with Snyder-Man's kickass headsculpt and a modern HT body. Unfortunately, HT's penchant for upgrading older figures combined with the price of a Hicks nowadays keeps me at bay. I guess it's for the best; I'll need to save all the cash I can for this year's Predator spending.

Whelp...I got my Classic Predator today folks...words can't describe what a beautiful piece he is!!! You gotta see him in hand! I carefully unpacked him and when I stood him up, his left hand literally fell out of the socket.....I popped the hand back in and it just wobbled, and fell out...

After inspecting the peg hole the forearm had pulled a part a bit and the hand won't stay snug...SOOO...as much as I paid for that bad boy, I want a perfect one, not gonna settle for sub par, so I just filed a Custmer Return and Exchange form to get a label to send it back and get a new one....SO it looks like it will probably be March before I have the Classic in my collection at this point...

In a bit of a Predanerd Depression at the moment...:

Sup fellow PredHeads - Sideshow got back to me and surprisingly offered to just send me a new Classic Ex Body instead of replacing the whole thing....interesting....but fine with me.

It was funny, in the email they state that they will send me a new body and when it arrives they want me to destroy the broken one??? Why can't I just keep it for parts?
