Sup fellow PredHeads - Sideshow got back to me and surprisingly offered to just send me a new Classic Ex Body instead of replacing the whole thing....interesting....but fine with me. :clap

It was funny, in the email they state that they will send me a new body and when it arrives they want me to destroy the broken one??? Why can't I just keep it for parts?

That avoids the obvious possible practice of someone wanting two of something, saying its defective and then getting a "replacement". This way Sideshow avoids abuse of the replacement policy, but I agree it seems like a waste. Sometime they do just send you another piece without asking for destruction of the original, but it's usually a price point thing I believe...

:lecture Luckily, I've never had to go through this, but....

What is it exactly that they want you to do in this case? Break the defective/damaged piece and send a picture of it back to them?
Or are they expecting you to follow through with their request in good faith?

I expect they ask for pictures of it to confirm it.

Just be sure to actually record the destruction in detail, when my Vader lifesize bust came without Anakin's head inside it they told me to destroy it and furnish pictures, but when I sent them a pic of it in my fireplace they said they needed something more convincing... madness. :dunno

Yeah, they want pictures of the destroyed product within 5 days of me getting the new product...

I'm thinking I will pose my new bodied predator kneeling beside his "broken" brother to honor his memory and send that to them....:lol

I'm taking all of his frackin armor though to keep in case I need replacement pieces....of course they'll probably reply back...where is the broken predators, broken armor...and I'll be like...I disintegrated it...:lol

Ha Ha!
:rotfl

Let us know what they say!

Will do!

Better yet....I'll post my new bodied classic on his knees with hands in the air with his splayed finger hands, head thrown back with open mandibles...and shop a word bubble in there going "WHHHHHYYYYY!?!?!"

Kinda like this... :gah:

Oh boy.

Well, I'm trying to exchange my classic because his head doesn't want to stay on. I filled out the return form on the sideshow webiste describing the problem, and got this response today:

If you could please provide pictures showcasing your description of this issue, they will greatly assist us in the handling of your inquiry. After we receive the pictures, please allow 3 to 5 business days for us to examine them and then decide the best course of action on how to fulfill your request.

Ok, what pictures could I take that would possibly "showcase" the issue? Should I let his head fall off and snap a picture as it falls to the floor?

They must have a bunch of f'ing idiots working there.

I lol'd :lol:rotfl:lol

So is the head falling off issue in the body/neck joint or in the head socket???

And this is slowly becoming the "I converted my Classic into P1" thread. Haven't seen anyone with just plain ol' Classic pics with the BD bio in awhile.

Yikes, they didn't ask me for that. They simply took a week to ask for more information regarding my issue, then didn't reply after I gave it to them. Funny thing was, it only took them a day to acknowledge me after I told them I wanted to retract my return request. :lol

The problem seems to be in the neck joint. My figure's virtually perfect now, but the very first time I took him out of the box, the sucker wouldn't want to stay on. Maybe I've subconsciously adjusted to being more supportive with my hands while posing, who knows? Everything's fine now.

I'm keeping my Classic as Classic. The future Predator releases will be too irresistable for me to pass up, so I'll likely pick up as many as I can (if that means all, then so be it :)). A giant Dutch vs. P1 display would be the centerpiece of my collection which is why I need as much distinction between the original badass and Classic as possible.

Maybe more of us should have complained about the heads falling off. Hope it doesn't sneak into future releases.

That's crazy.

I would take a picture of the headless figure standing on your shelf and have the head in both hands, at chest height, looking straight ahead.

Kind of like this:
