Sweets, you've just been added to my small but well deserved ignore list. Your babble spins until I'm dizzy. I don't even think the Dems here listen to you.

I think it's funny that people think Obama is a terrorist because of his name.

The interviewer in this video is obviously an Obama supporter, but it does prove the point.

Wow. This is a sad video. The man is a sitting US Senator and is running for US President. I guess Barack was wrong when he said "...in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success."

Actually you're proving mine; unless of course you think this ACORN stuff is nonsense. :)

Only in your conspiracy addled thinking am I proving your point.
According to the articles their seems to be key democrat state AG's
spear-heading the investigations. However did the GOP swing that?:google

Now go play in traffic.:peace

Sadly, I have no doubt that race will play an issue, especially once people get behind the curtain.

I bet there are more voting for him because he is black than aren't because he is black.

Whether people vote for him because he is or isn't black is a stupid way to base a vote.

And people who claim racism if he wins or loses are also stupid.

:lecture :lecture

As are people that don't think it will be an issue. Big or small, it will play a part.

Anyways, I'm getting out of these political threads! :monkey4 :monkey4

I agree 100% with what you are saying. My point is, in the very unlikely event that he loses, all of his supporters will cry racism. Doesn't matter the reasons. If there is any chance that he loses, I think it will be from "the silent majority". THose who don't go out of their way to talk politics, but when the time comes, see what I and others on here see, and decide to cast there vote for McCain.

There are some people that will not vote for Obama because he's black. On the flip side there are people that will vote for him because he's black. For the most part it cancels itself out I think.

I agree... It's really scary to see the blank stare in that crazy lady's eyes when she starts spouting off about issues she has NO idea about. I have seen many like her in my local area, the tragically misinformed morons who mask their hate with blind obedience to what is familiar to them. :duh

This is true, on both sides.

I'll tell you all one thing. If the credit market doesn't start to open up again, who is going to be our next president is going to be the least of our worries. Doesn't matter who is responsible, if the economy doesn't start to get better there is a very real chance of a SHTF scenario happening. Better start stocking up on non-perishable goods, make sure you and yours have warm clothing for the coming winter, and those of you who are anti-gun. You may be forced to rethink that.

Indeed it is. You are certainly right on the money. People don't want to actually LEARN anything on their own, everyone wants their knowledge spoon fed to them. Which usually skews the knowledge away from the bare bones truth.
Makes you wonder how many of those people even took the time to watch any of the debates, or read something that isn't slanted by author's bias or hyperbole (which automatically discounts most of what you get from the media, be it MSNBC or Fox :)).

This is true, on both sides.

While this is certainly true, and there are extremists on both sides, I believe the Republican party to be more often than not the party of intolerance, bigotry and desire to maintain the status quo. I'm sure there are some democrats, but most racists, homophobes and pro death (hunting, war, capitol punishment, etc) people I see and hear all vote for the GOP. Just my 2 cents.

Yep... Too many people rely on mainstream media for their "facts". Many Americans don't read, and don't do any research on their own or even try to vet their sources. It's a sad state of affairs.
