That particular one is a good 10cm too narrow. And maybe too top heavy for a statue like this. This does make it all the more crazy that this is being sold as wall mountable though...

Ah, good point. I didn't know that.

I'm beginning to think it may be unwise to sleep on this, but the tables I have at the moment are fiberboard with honeycomb paper filling (IKEA's cheap modular line of tables) and I'm not comfortable displaying a piece this heavy on such a weak surface.

Not thrilled at the idea of having to spend $200+ on a sturdier desk or table, but I suppose it's small potatoes after buying this.

No joke look at TJ Maxx. Most cities have 2, they have tables for around 100. Amazon isn't bad either, if you start casually looking now you will find something.

That looks super fragile, just look at those little flat legs.

You need something industrial, heavy duty and cool to display the Big Chap.

Also don't forget computer desks, I have this one I used for the Dog for a year. It is now my vinyl record player table, but it holds 320lbs and it is less than 100. I also loved the space underneath for storing items in black containers.

And I saved this bad boy for last. Seville Classics is an outstanding company. I have two of their workbenches, a cabinet, and this heavy duty workstation that holds 500 pounds. It also has a lower shelf so you can place another statue underneath. The wheels are awesome so you can move it around, they have locks too. The wood top is really thick and beautiful...

Been using it as a desk and always thought it was the perfect size and shape for a corner statue display, but I'm glad I looked up the materials before loading any Prime 1 pieces on it.

I actually think it looks very similar to the prototype. So that is good, I was concerned with the teeth not being chromed but the mount prototype didn't have them chromed. The 1/3 does, so let's hope we get as good of a prototype replica like they did with the Dog/Ox.

I asked to prime 1 and no chromed teeth for our big guy...teeth come painted in silver color. Let?s see the final result and hope it will be as good as the dog.

Ah if that's the case I'll be adding mirror chrome to them. It's fine but should be chrome. The dogs teeth weren't chrome they were silver/white. The chap was some serious shine. I'm okay with some custom work.

Well, I got off my butt and ordered the standard for this guy. I normally do the DX, but I'm not feeling the open mouth so I didn't see the point in spending the extra money.

I didn't do the dx either. Honestly with the extra cost and shipping for the dx bust and head it is a huge chunk more. Plus the open mouth drool isn't my thing either.

Must say the dlx is great for that one, a nice 1/3 bust for not that much and regarding the drool, they stated since the beginning it won't be there in production as people complained about it.

Sad for the teeth,..It's freakin' expensive and they aren't able to deliver chromed teeth...just shame on Prime 1..

Awesome! Can’t wait to see it in your YouTube channel. I’m displaying both the CoolProps Giger maquette and P1 Big Chap next to each other. The Giger Museum piece and the film representation. How about you? Are you keeping your Giger maquette or selling it? I’m keeping both.

Yeah, don’t like the drool either. The regular head is boss enough, plus saving a little money is always a plus.

Arf didn't know that...bad decision. Maybe it can be removed easily. Still think the 1/3 bust is a nice addition. + the ES is very low so

Yeah, not sure why they went back on that decision really. Even though I am an EX (DX) snob, I wouldn't personally go for it in this case. I like the closed mouth head. The DX is $250 more to buy and adds $124 to the shipping price also which is strange as I thought they went mostly on volume these days. Unless that coh is coming in a separate box, that added cost seems unreasonable considering it is presumably only slightly heavier in a box that's the same size as the reg. That said, if you do like the extra head and the stand that comes with it, then obviously it's a fairly decent option as you probably couldn't buy that bust as a standalone piece for $250

I just worked out the cost of buying these with shipping and import duty accounted for, I actually really want to get one, but it's a spicy meatball. I'd probably be just as happy with the Coolprops tbh, and the Mamegyorai is something else, I probably should have gotten one while I could. My waitlist is still active but I doubt it'll convert now.
