Hope everyone is doing well. I'm getting so anxious about the big chap. There isn't much that is as exciting as collecting like this.

Yaphet Kotto standing in the door way on the base of the Chap. His passing is pretty sad.

Okay a little proud of this one. My efforts worked, I finished the Alien3 tail blade. For the P1 dog. It can go upside down or straight on, honestly I really like it up. It is resin and painted by me. IMG_20210318_144356.jpg20210318_151841.jpg20210318_151827.jpg

Cool find. Definitely cant go wrong either way. The dog alien statue is one of those statues I wish I had the money at the time to get. Would love an exclusive one

Looks great! I do regret cancelling my order for the Dog I must admit. Needed the money for real life and figured I'd have time to order it again. Turns out I didn't as it sold out without much warning, My waitlist never came to anything either.

Dang! Yeah it is a grail for me. The chap and warrior will go beside it.
The way it sold out was un unexpected actually. People liked the pose but had concerns if it would look as good as the prototype. I'll never forget the first professional photos of in hand and how people lost their minds and started ordering like crazy. If the chap has a paint app like its prototype I think the same will happen.

So the weight on this is just over 28 kilos (around 60 lbs). Wonder how much the wall contributes to that.

Probably a substantial amount. But remember the weight includes the dx head. They weighed the dog all as the same. Even though the added weight and dx will run you an extra $500 for the chap lol.

Ah, good point. I didn't know that.

I'm beginning to think it may be unwise to sleep on this, but the tables I have at the moment are fiberboard with honeycomb paper filling (IKEA's cheap modular line of tables) and I'm not comfortable displaying a piece this heavy on such a weak surface.

Not thrilled at the idea of having to spend $200+ on a sturdier desk or table, but I suppose it's small potatoes after buying this.

I was a video of somebody making a custom plinth for a statue, I'll try and find it for you. If I got this, I'd be tempted to have a go myself as something this size deserves it. It looked like a fun little project and the finished result looked really good and could be customised to your own tastes.
