OMG price increase. I recall this argument last time it came up. Result, no explanation, life returned to normal. Sideshow prices used to remain constant, but rises did occur. Frankenstein used to cost $30. The prices soared to a heady $45, then to $50. For Sideshow to bring us better and bigger things, and backed up by Freaks wailing for a new body, they changed their policy, under which they have had to restructure their pricing. Watch what you wish for. In reality it has opened up opportunities for others to fill the void that has now surfaced. Freaks are saying they will jump the Sideshow ship. Amoktime to the rescue. Soon there will be an Amoktime Freaks board, and they will have our demands to deal with, concerning quality and price. This is the free market that those before us have sacrificed their lives for.

Prometheus isn't EXACTLY the same as the Volks. I mean, there's only so many ways to make a 1/6 body, who cares about the similarities?

I'm 100% on Sideshows side(show) for coming out with Prometheus & utilizing one of the 1/6 worlds GREATEST bodies as an inspiration.

I think the new body is great. Personally, I don't care where it comes from. Everbody's body is a modification of somebody else body. Anybody can post a picture comparison of the original Joe body to the new Prometheus body and point out the evolution of the body. We should just be happy that we have a new body.

Well, it is.

But I don't believe they just stole the design. Whatever the reason is I'm sure it's good. Being curious is not being negative.

I just wish the Art Buck usage will end and that they'll sell this separately.

I do have a concern of the armor body. It almost seems too thin. You can see gaps between the armor and the body in the lower leg area. But until we actually get the figure(s), we won't know how well it hold together.

People are not trying to bash/hate on Sideshow's new body. They are just conversing and saying that the body looks awfully similar, they are not trying to start a fight as some of you seem to think. In no way are they bashing sideshow and its body. It is awesome and great news!!!

According to the Q&A, the Prometheus is a hybid, using the best features of several different kinds of figures designs. As long as no patents have actually been infringed, then who gives a flying ****?!! I think we're finally getting a body that will rival some of the very best on the market now, and we should all be celebrating the fact!!! If any of the negative things that've been discussed here are valid violations of someone's patent, let's leave it to their lawyers to sort out.
