Saw the movie on the weekend and thought it was pretty good. Id buy some Prometheus related collectibles.

So...what are everyone's most wanted Prometheus collectibles?

1. I think the thing I want the most is a life-size decapitated Engineer head (Space Jockey helmet).

2. 1/4 Engineer in Space Jockey suit maquette.

3. Prometheus and Juggernaut statues in scale with each other.

:panic:

#1 1/6 figures of David, Vickers, Shaw, Fiefeld, and and maybe Ford and Janek.

#2 Some high end statues. I'm not a statue guy, but for a lot of the visuals in this movie, I think this format will capture them better than a figure. One that I want in particular is the Engineer and the squid fighting in the doorway.

I think what would be a total mind___ is if the engineers looked like the Species alien underneath their suit and mask. Still the intellect of the engineers, but just the look. (yes, i know the films sucked, but blame Hollywood not the design). Anyway just thinking, I mean it's all Giger afterall.

You didn't had to wait for Prometheus to buy "charlize theron miniature" [SIC!]. Considering the ammount of movies she starred in, I'm sure you will find plenty of her sculptures [dolls?] around the internet :lol

But on a serious note, people like the guy above me are really scary. They are wasting money mindlessly on some poor actor sculptures only because they have some idiotic pop-cultural label on them.

I mean I can understand the interest in perfectly executed interptretation of GiGer's surreal creations [Space Jockeys] but what's the point in buying sculpture of every actor who have spoken 5 lines in total in this very average movie?

It's either too much money or the lack of common sense.

Quick question. Exactly what designs in Prometheus were created by Giger? Anyone know?

And VonMises, why are you bashing people?:dunno

Wow. That's not my motivation at all. I just love the movie and the characters listed above. I listed 4 I really wanted and 2 maybes. All four are characters who really interest me. Is 4 from a movie I love excessive?

What exactly convinced you to buy those characters, I mean...you must have a good reason [apart from the obvious "Prometheus" label] to shell out 1000 dollars.

Please elaborate, I really want to know.

Okay.

David: The movie gave us some great visuals of the droid.
Vickers: What a great character she was! Imagine her holding the flamethrower and refusing to let the infected back on her ship.
Shaw: She's the protagonist! To imagine the story, you have to have her.
Fiefeld: Well, he was visually great. He has the space suit, as many of the characters do, but also that red hair and the tattoos. In his way, Fifeld was as interesting a character design as the monsters.

I don't think too many people around here would think 4 is too many. Is 4 Avengers too many? Four characters from Batman? I preferred Prometheus to the last 5 Batman movies or to the Avengers....

VonMises' only purpose here is to troll. Everytime he shows up he's attacking people for liking somthing he doesn't. Just report him and put him on ignore.

If HT made every character from Prometheus, I'd buy them all. Because I enjoyed the movie and characters..and I have a right to buy them if I choose to. :dunno

The least I'd need from SS would be a 1/4 Engineer w/ pressure suit (removable helmet would be sick!) and a 1/4 maquette of the Deacon.

The least I'd need from HT would be a 1/6 Dr. Shaw and a 1/6 David in either space suits or without. (I don't really care for the other characters)

As for ships: Prometheus and the Juggernaut (to scale with each other)

Other than that, I don't really need or want anything else.

So c'mon SS and HT lets get a move on! :impatient:

Thanks.

It wasn't the Engineer from Alien. Not the same guy. Not the Space Jockey. It wasn't even the same planet. Prometheus takes place on LV-223 whereas Alien takes place on LV-426.

As David said to Elizabeth at the end, that wasn't the only ship. There were dozens more on the planet. So for me, the question is not why is there another space jokey, it's why is he preserved in such a state (in Alien).

Evironmental conditions on LV-426, no bacteria to decompose it, so it was mummified. Just like bodies buried in a desert.

BTW Niceman, don't get yourself dragged into VonMises crap! He's not worth it.

I personally think if we are only going to get one or two figures from hot toys I really hope for the sole surviving engineer

and the engineer in the spacejockey outfit

other than that i would love a david figure as well, maybe a couple of urns with him as an accessory.

I can't wait for an Engineer figure/statue. The only Jockey related item I have is the small statue from Palisades. Bring it!

Yes definitely :hi5:
