Microsoft just shouldn't have created a situation where they had to back-peddle like that. They read the market wrong and tried to force a DRM concept down the throats of gamers, who weren't willing to accept it. Don Mattrick then acted like a complete ********* after E3, and basically snubbed the military from next-gen gaming.

It's good that they were finally willing to admit that they were wrong. It'll take a while for people to forget about this entire situation, though. This was definitely the worst console reveal that I have ever seen in all of my years of console gaming.

I see it as they made a product and perhaps intially just wanted to stick by the hardwork that made that product. Eventually they threw out the concept their employees came up with because of what the fan base and market said.
Now writing off those in the military?.. yea BIG foot in the mouth and I'm sure they realized that after the fact. At the end of the day we're all imperfect and susceptible do douchery at times.

I wasn't happy with the restrictions for xbone and I'm glad they changed them but I also vividly remember when every gamer and their mom complained n whined when we made the transition from cartridge to disc.
Some changes may sound awful but do have the ability to turn out well. Only time will tell.

None of those are good examples, none could be applied in the sale or trade info used games.

Sigh, you can stay in denial all you want.

Games are software, they are covered by the 1st sale doctrine, period.

I don't see you trying to refute anything with facts, anyway.

Exactly why I am not planing on getting Xbox One any time soon unless there is a mass firing of the guys in charge of this mess...the arrogant, prickish attitude displayed ever since the reveal and then at E3. If they were so convinced they had the right system in place and even though they repeatedly said that it was, then have the convection to stand by that choice. This announcement comes across as pandering to get customers back after lack luster pre-sales numbers not meeting their expectations.

Wait I am not using facts? I have provided a EULA that clearly states that but using, installing, ect.. This software you agree to this. You came back with the courts aren't sure. When asked for proof you give me a case where a company is selling new software at a huge discount, one where a person wrote software while working for a company and one where someone tried to sell new software online(this never technically agreeing to the EULA) and he still lost.

You want to try so hard to belive it not true but until you can provide HARD evidence to disprove the EULA, your just trying to deflect until I get bored with you and give up on a lost cause(you).

The Ps2 had voice commanded games way before the xbox. Its called Socom

Ur right. I loved socom so please add that to ur notes.

But nothing I said was about who did it 1st. More of who's doing it currently and better at the moment.

Oh I guess I did make it sound like I was trying to prove you wrong. I was just saying it as a fact sorry dude :1-1: But yeahhh SOCOM ftw. Well Socom 2. Why Sony never made a HD remake of that game after fans repeatedly asked for it. Instead they gave us that crap called Socom 4 :gah:

Dude, you bored me 200 posts ago, so don't worry, the feeling's mutual, I'm annoyed at your delusions at this point, calling EULAs facts, when it's clear EULAs are not above the 1st sale doctrine.

The first-sale doctrine applies to software and can not be waived or taken away through an EULA.

Yeah, you can keep ignoring that.

He only lost cause he didn't buy the software from an authorized seller, that is the only reason why he lost, he wasn't covered by the 1st sale doctrine.

The law is clear about it, like I said, you can stay in denial all you want buddy.

It's so hot in here

So take off all your clothes. (girl voice) Its getting so hot I want to take my clothes off. Good ol Nelly. I think thats how the song went or something like that :lol

Kinect maybe?

And also all that money they invested in developing all the DRM stuff I guess :lol

Isn't that the truth!!!! I guess I shouldn't be surprised Ms is more interested in XBONE as an al purpose entertainment device, rather than a true gaming system. Their focus has moved away from games, as seen in how little they care for Indie games (one example)

if I wanted to trade in or sell a 360 at gamestop would I have to have i.d. or a credit card

I believe you are required to provide ID, I would guess they have to provide proof of who provided the equipment if it turned up as stolen property.

Yet they have at least the same if not more exclusives.

The main reason people are siding with the X-box is because it does more than games so that's not a negative. At least for me anyway.

I want to see what the PS4 can do other than straight up gaming so hopefully we get a better idea of the tech nearer release. If I'm going on exclusives alone though , of the ones that have been released - XB1 has better games - for me.

"The last of us" looks like an outstanding looking game though, something like that would be epic on PS4. If more like that come up it'll be a tough choice.

Yes the Xbox one has released more exclusives to date, and some of them look very interesting, like RYSE for example which looks amazing.

It has come down to mostly a choice based in taste, and whether or not people can forget and forgive MS's naughty behaviour.

I think everybody wins! :yess:

Still, I couldn't care less about all the "extra-gaming" gimmicks the XB1 packs so my preference still goes to the PS4. :monkey3

I don't trust them still. This is just a move so they can push X1 come fall. Just looking at how fast they flipped things around like it was a light switch tells me it would be just as easy for them to flip that switch back on at a later date.

I still don't like the idea of them watching and listening to me through the dam kinect. I still think the box is huge and ugly, I still don't like the name. Just the fact that MS "attempted" at getting away with what they did bothers me. Because you know if they could have...they would have.

Still sticking with PS4. To late MS.

Chris
