Microsoft just shouldn't have created a situation where they had to back-peddle like that. They read the market wrong and tried to force a DRM concept down the throats of gamers, who weren't willing to accept it. Don Mattrick then acted like a complete ********* after E3, and basically snubbed the military from next-gen gaming.
It's good that they were finally willing to admit that they were wrong. It'll take a while for people to forget about this entire situation, though. This was definitely the worst console reveal that I have ever seen in all of my years of console gaming.
I see it as they made a product and perhaps intially just wanted to stick by the hardwork that made that product. Eventually they threw out the concept their employees came up with because of what the fan base and market said.
Now writing off those in the military?.. yea BIG foot in the mouth and I'm sure they realized that after the fact. At the end of the day we're all imperfect and susceptible do douchery at times.
I wasn't happy with the restrictions for xbone and I'm glad they changed them but I also vividly remember when every gamer and their mom complained n whined when we made the transition from cartridge to disc.
Some changes may sound awful but do have the ability to turn out well. Only time will tell.
